all the DoT effects are trash in this game because they're affected by defense and don't penetrate it, but i think they're so bad because it's incentivized to build around the status effects, for example venom bullets are trash but paired with venom fang and it's incredible, build philosophy in this game is different from other rpgs, bleed needs some more synergies other than scalpel, stake, and spoon tho

@@illgeteverythingback most effects need reworks or more mechanics to be added since venom builds, for example, are bad without piercing and there's so few ways to make venom builds pier e and cause you are locked with a few accessories you lose on potential. Also why use pierce or brute damage builds when you can youse crits which dominate the entire game and bleeding, although sounds cool it kinda sucks as it does not do much and as you said, is affected by defense

and regular flames or some other debuffs as well, it feels very niche and low damage using a regular old flames build. ICE flames on the other hand slaps.

do you mean diamond ring? bc if so then no bc that would make dps and dmg worse
(the projectiles gravetree spawn deal 20 dmg and adding 4 would result in a 20% dmg increase but if you are using rubber band its only 10% increase)

Ring adds a flat 4 damage before increases are applied. Making the weapon deal 4 more damage than it usually would, allowing other percentage adding accessories to benefit more from the higher base damage.
