So many people not following social distancing or wearing masks. Not surprised. I've been to Shanghai Disney... they don't like to follow the rules there. Tokyo will be much better.
This is not going to work in the American parks. Especially not WDW. Social distancing = VIP front of the line access for every ride! Before COVID19, if there were any gaps in a line, it would be filled by a certain group in particular, and if you try to block them, they will find a way to squeeze by, even if it means climbing over the railings, or touching you.
The pirates ride is during the day always super busy so these are normal waiting times. The tip for this park is to go in pirates in the end off the evening then there is no wait at all and you can repeat it a few times just before closing. And it is a must maybe my favorite attraction in the world!. Offcourse you can always buy a fast pass for it in the day time. Yes I said buy. Because you can buy it in this park 😍
Thank you so much for this update. It definitely gives us hope for the rest of the parks. The castle is so beautiful and it's great to see the CMs being so strict about people maintaining social distancing. Love those little doors on the Zootopia construction walls too.
Great video!! Thanks for posting this update. I’m concerned however about a certain lack of social distancing I noticed in some queues. Even with markers on the floor, doesn’t seem like most guests are following the procedures. Won’t lie, I don’t see reason to visit Disney for now and I fear a surge in coronavirus cases. At least in the USA, it’s not the right time to reopen yet.
I'm concerned about distancing and masks too, as someone with autoimmune issues. I've given up on the idea of people behaving in a way to present the spread and instead have ordered masks with filter pockets. Hoping theyll be enough if i wash hands a lot. This may never really go away. We've got to adapt better than we have been.
I love Disney, but scary scenes, being Way to busy and people not social distancing, is a theme park day out worth this level of risk. I'm worried it's just too soon. But thankyou so much for sharing. The park looks beautiful. xx
I enjoyed the fact that you got excited over the walls around the construction site for Zootopia - I was the same, seeing the cute things on the walls in Disney Springs, Florida, a couple of years ago! I think that's a true sign of a Disney die-hard. ;)
I've gone to Anaheim Disney at least twice a year for the past decade and have dearly loved every single visit. I know they are really trying to be safe, and I get that, but this just is not what I consider a true Disney experience. If this is a glimpse of what the future is for the Anaheim park, then I can safely assume that my last visit really was my last visit, and from here on out I'll be content with movies, merchandise, and photos from past visits. That time would have come for me eventually anyways.
That's A Great News, Hope The Rest Of Disney Parks Get Back The Magic Again, The Return Of Current Daytime Shows Was A Really BIG Suprise Even For My Birthday ;)
Thanks for posting these updates! I was very curious to see how Disney was handling re-opening their parks. I do hope they'll continue to improve it as restrictions are lifted for other parks and that they'll learn from each other. I was actually surprised that they hadn't implemented a virtual queue for some of the longer wait time rides, like Pirates. Or even just turned people away from lining up once it was filled up to the end of the line with the markers. I hope there's more improvements to be made.
It still looks like people are crowding up and not separating. Also cast members are at risk by being inside and being close to people at the cue line. It isn’t much safer for people do dine outside at such close proximity.
haha. oh please. face masks hardly do anything anyways, open your eyes. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/may/21/face-mask-rules-more-political-than-scientific-says-expert
So in regards to the American parks, it's probably best to just write off Disney until this is over at best because you're going to have a harder time getting in, than you do finding a parking space in New York
Happy things are working. Glad to see the characters and that they are still doing a castle show. I wonder if construction will be delayed? Good to know that they are still selling out tickets. Thanks for updates
Ike wilson , not exactly true. Studies around the globe are finding that some children that have it but never show symptoms get a lung injury that will last the rest of their life. If you want to risk your child’s future health just to go to a theme park or any other crowded venue have fun.
Doug Martin haha oh please, that’s a new one. Keep being scared. I’m on the side of actual hard facts, which the media is brain washing nearly everyone during this, it’s actually quite sad. It makes me sad for humanity. Especially when there’s nearly 17 millions humans already murdered this year alone, and most of the world is totally ok with that. I mean a lot of the "magic" just goes away instantly...
Thank you for the video. I had a trip planned for the fall, but will definitely be canceling. If people there aren't following the rules there, in the US there's absolutely no way they will. Thousands of people have already stated that they are going to refuse to wear a mask at Disney World, or hold a water bottle all day, so they are "sipping" a drink and not wear a mask. You are right, there is not much the cast members can do, and Disney cares too much about money rather than throw people out for not following the rules. Whether you agree with masks or not, if it states masks are required here, wear one or leave! People are so childish. A guy held up anyone from entering Costco for over 20 mins the other day fighting the staff over not wearing a mask. Who doesn't know you have to wear a mask at Costco? If you are not willing to comply go somewhere else. I could've been done shopping by the time I was finally able to enter, and the guy still ultimately was not permitted to shop there. Businesses can make their own policies and refuse service to anyone who doesn't follow them, bottom line.
I noticed in the line for Soarin’ they were basically ignoring the distance markers. Do you think this was because of the line being outside? Thank you for all e updates
I feel like they need to be putting up temporary wall barriers for indoor lines that wind around themselves. Because what’s the point of a floor marker if the person next to you is a foot away.
Been to hong kong disneyland and the people there has no sense of personal space. This video shows that. A lot of them not caring for social distancing especially when at the overflow line where there are no markers.
I was supposed to travel to China for the first time last month =( of course Disney Shanghai was supposed to be one of the stops... I had to re schedule my trip until next year but I really hope by then all of this is over and these social distancing measures doesn't affect my experience.

I thought they were only opening 20 to 30% so maybe just locals. That's what they are planning to do here in Orlando. Locals first then out of state. I haven't heard when the rest of Disney will open. I want it to be soon because my family and I have annual passes.
It’s definitely a lot more people compared to the time my family and I visited SHD. We weren’t able to get tickets of the first two days, but we were able to get tickets for 13 and 14. And the wait time was so much shorter, especially with rides like Tron, which are less kids friendly. I got to ride it 5 times because there were barely any waiting time. And it’s pretty much the same for the other rides( but rides like Peter Pan and Pooh was still as popular as ever). Ah, although I really wish this pandemic would end sooner but I’ll be lying if I say I won’t miss a Disneyland like this.
Read somewhere the government was only to let them fill up the park 30%. If it’s the 30% already full and the lines are crazy loooong because of the social distancing....
Mixed feelings watching the opening of shanghi Disney then the updated video. Excited to see it opening, seeing things moving again. Please we are due to visit Florida end of September, unsure if it will happen yet who knows just keep hoping. Anyway, after watching this I was very disappointed and angry at how many didn't wear they mask correctly, there were a few appeared not even to have one. Then the que for think it was pirates ride all round the corner, no social distancing. People having to be told to remain in their "square". I would not feel safe at all in that environment with so many people taking no notice. Hope they enforce it more for everybody's enjoyment and safety.
Thanks for the update. I have been to Disneyworld in Orlando many times, so looking at the lack of social distancing in this video, makes me realize that I will not be going to any Disney locations for about 2 years. It's a bummer, but really is not worth the risk...
Wow. That park is very well detailed, and I am; so jealous that they are going to have a Zootopia Land. Wish that Disneyland would have a Zootopia Land too, and that is one of my favorite movies♥Also Thank you for posting this. It gives me an idea on how Disneyland is going to be like once they are going to reopen, but I am worried that people are not going to wear their masks; or follow the rules. Lastly, I wonder; if Disneyland will reopen this summer? :)
Disneyland likely won’t open for a long time now :(. California is super strict on their guidelines and “phases” for reopening, and theme parks are not permitted to open until the very last phase. If I were to guess, it’s going to open sometime in the fall or winter. My hope is for it to be opened by October, because I love going when all the Halloween decorations are up!
I'm a bit worried, with the increased crowds and the parades, it's going to be extremely difficult to do social distancing. If cast members have to tell guests to stay in the boxes still, that's already not a good sign!
it looks OK for now but, the parade part is confusing for people and shanghai Disneyland should have meet and greet characters instead of staying away from the guests. That's not fair some kids who don't know them yet will want to meet them in person not from rooftops.
So many people are standing in the ques with there masks off, and talking ,that’s what you do want to do because they are in the que for an extended periods of time, 🤨
From what I could tell - it looks like the social distancing markers in ride queues are pointless. They’re allowing more guests into the park than what the socially distant queues can handle - resulting in people lining up very closely together at the end of the line, just to be socially distanced once they get closer to the attraction entrance. Disney either needs to remove the markers, cut the line off immediately once the socially distant markers fill up, or reduce capacity in the park. Otherwise it’s just a waste...
Make sure you watch the first video on the changes at Shanghai Disneyland before you watch this one!

Thank you for watching!
If they aren't social distancing in this video you know for sure people here in the US it will be worse.
Thanks for keeping us informed! I probably won’t be going to this park any time soon but I still find the rollout interesting.
Thank you for watching!!
Thank you for posting these videos! I find them fascinating!
Great update Love the shirt and the paw tag
That's A Great News, Hope The Rest Of Disney Parks Get Back The Magic Again, The Return Of Current Daytime Shows Was A Really BIG Suprise Even For My Birthday ;)
Beautiful day
Thanks for posting these updates!
That pandemic make me sad 😢
It still looks like people are crowding up and not separating. Also cast members are at risk by being inside and being close to people at the cue line. It isn’t much safer for people do dine outside at such close proximity.
Hey thanks for answering about wiping the rides. I imagine they probably clean them anyway
To be honest, I'm excited as an American to go to Disneyland and not be surrounded or bumped by people...
thanks for the update Chris I hope we can see more merchandise videos soon
I hope so too!
YEAH I'll pass on visiting any time soon, as you can see some are NOT social distancing and some are walking around w/o face covers = next rona wave.
I mean he's not social distancing either he was walking up on people multiple times
haha. oh please. face masks hardly do anything anyways, open your eyes. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2020/may/21/face-mask-rules-more-political-than-scientific-says-expert
So in regards to the American parks, it's probably best to just write off Disney until this is over at best because you're going to have a harder time getting in, than you do finding a parking space in New York
I didn’t know there were half day tickets at a Disney park! Interesting
Very helpful and informative!
Happy things are working. Glad to see the characters and that they are still doing a castle show.
I wonder if construction will be delayed?
Good to know that they are still selling out tickets.
Thanks for updates
Disney did say that attendance will be gradually increased each week.
I was surprised by the amount of young children. I thought it would be mostly young adults in the first few weeks.
the young children are the ones that are at the least amount of risk.
Ike wilson , not exactly true. Studies around the globe are finding that some children that have it but never show symptoms get a lung injury that will last the rest of their life. If you want to risk your child’s future health just to go to a theme park or any other crowded venue have fun.
that surprised me too
Doug Martin haha oh please, that’s a new one. Keep being scared. I’m on the side of actual hard facts, which the media is brain washing nearly everyone during this, it’s actually quite sad. It makes me sad for humanity. Especially when there’s nearly 17 millions humans already murdered this year alone, and most of the world is totally ok with that. And if what you’re saying actually ever pans out to be true, (which it’s 100% not) you let me know.
@@ikew3150 FOR THEMSELVES. But they can be silent carriers and pass it on others.
Plus, I read recent study they get some inflammation that will have long lasting impact, while not displaying any symptoms.
this feels so depressing...
Not the happiest place on Earth anymore...I would only go there if things become normal .And i am happy right now,to live life without stupid masks, that not protecting at all .
@@MrYounotme2 not protect at all !!!?? I am wondering if you guys could understand this is a disease of respiratory system.
ban q Here in Berlin we only have to wear masks if we are using public transport. You can only catch the virus if touching your face or by having close contact to an infected person,so no need to wear a mask at all time.
@@MrYounotme2 Here in Greece it is the same as well. No need to wear mask other than specific situations. But it still feels depressing. Someone coughs you turn around and look at them, someone sneezes and you keep your distance... going to Disneyland and having to wear masks feels so weird... I mean a lot of the "magic" just goes away instantly...
@@MrYounotme2 so did I, this is just common sense. 24 hours with mask is impossible. my question is what do u mean "not protecting at all"?
Let’s be real, we’re all only excited because we want WDW to reopen
Thank you for the update, it gives us a little hope! I'm making Disney videos too, I'm hoping to be as informative as you one day!❤️
Thank you for watching and good luck!
What’s the weather like over there?
WOW~~!00:19 I saw my back in the video!
I get nervous thinking about Disneyland Paris opening with rules like this, no one knows how to que in that Disney park 😳
4:18 “Aren’t you a little short for a...Spider-Man?” 🤦🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️😂🤣
I noticed in the line for Soarin’ they were basically ignoring the distance markers. Do you think this was because of the line being outside? Thank you for all e updates
Thank you for this video! 💜
You are so welcome!
Very Nice job Thank you so much. 😜👍
Thank you
I was supposed to travel to China for the first time last month =( of course Disney Shanghai was supposed to be one of the stops... I had to re schedule my trip until next year but I really hope by then all of this is over and these social distancing measures doesn't affect my experience.
Woah the outdoor queue for Troy was way too crowded
Last time i went to Shanghai Disneyland, i got a plastic gold coin from the Pirates of the Caribbean sea show :D Im really looking forward to go there again ~
WHAT!? HOW!? Teach me! hahah.
@@tdrexplorer i was sitting at the first row. At the end of the show one of the performers came down and gave out few coins. I was super lucky to get one (^^)
Ah, although I really wish this pandemic would end sooner but I’ll be lying if I say I won’t miss a Disneyland like this.
if Disney World is like this when it opens I might go within a week
Read somewhere the government was only to let them fill up the park 30%. If it’s the 30% already full and the lines are crazy loooong because of the social distancing....
Thank you for the video!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ you are amazing
I love this video
The park seems to be returning to normal fast. That looked like a lot of people.
Can't stay open long with "crowds" that size, unless it was filmed immediately after opening.
Thanks for the update. I have been to Disneyworld in Orlando many times, so looking at the lack of social distancing in this video, makes me realize that I will not be going to any Disney locations for about 2 years. It's a bummer, but really is not worth the risk...
Did they have the guests wear masks on Tron? I'm wondering if they are having issues keeping them on during the faster rides.
Wow looks like social distancing is not working for the guests.
Are they letting the "at high-risk people" in?
Are the fireworks at night still on please?
Margaret Rodger no
Not sure about the numbers of cases now in china or shanghai but are they really in a place to reopen?
Ick! How many people are touching the railing!?
Great content, is there a fastpass system in place in Shanghai?
Their Pirates ride is worth it!
Do you know if the park is allowing pin trading with the cast members?
I wonder if they are sanitizing tables or ride seats in between guests. Seems pointless otherwise.
it looks OK for now but, the parade part is confusing for people and shanghai Disneyland should have meet and greet characters instead of staying away from the guests. That's not fair some kids who don't know them yet will want to meet them in person not from rooftops.
Hey Chris! Thanks for this video. Just wondering what the typical wait times are in Shanghai non pandemic?
It depends on the day but they're usually fairly high.
Thank you so much for this!
Did Disney increase ticket prices due to decreased capacity??
So many people are standing in the ques with there masks off, and talking ,that’s what you do want to do because they are in the que for an extended periods of time, 🤨
Love your videos !! I will hopefully be going back to Japan in September and hopefully Disney sea and Disney will be open 😍😍
Good luck!!
6:24 Fail? Surprising to see this in Tron Que
Otherwise it’s just a waste...
masks make difference. if you have no masks, distancing make difference
Not that strict on mask wearing. 🙄
su20mm00er and? Snitch what are you gonna do?
So many safe spaces, so little time.
