It's great to see his passion that comes through in the music. Also the strength of his technique. How fantastic!

I have never heard such a superb collaboration between just two musicians. This is truly a "tour de force". It's such a treat for the ears and the soul; I love these guys.

Here is the difference between Dollar and other composers. Here we see him dominating with the piano 40 years ago.Now he has now need to dominate. What does he do; he just suggest the composition with a few notes and leaves it to the rest of the band to expand on the composition. What a brilliant and spiritual man.He has mastered the Silence between notes.A master of meditation on the Silence between notes and only punctuates the composition with a note here or there without the need to dominate.

    Terrific concert-a pleasure to watch.
A couple of tunes missing from the setlist:
28:50 'Soweto is Where It's At'
    30:30 'Shrimp Boats'

Reminds me of Moses 'Taiwa' Molelekwa... He would have carried the piano wizardry baton further...

Just amazing; also that prick in the comments who writes that "flute playing is mediocre", amuses me. Surprisingly.

I am sorry to say that Monk could not do what Dollar has just done.Ofcource Beethoven was influenced by Mozart but what does " Moonlight Sonata" to do with Mozart. If the truth be told 60 years ago as a child I heard the rumour about Dollar's music and Monk and. as of today I still can't hear the Monk in Dollar's music.
