I didnt have very much luck with peppermint shrimp until I stopped feeding the tank for 48 hours AND I wounded the aiptasia with Aiptasia X. The shrimp would then eat some of the treated aiptasia overnight. I repeat this method a couple times a month. I still have aiptasia but less and less each month.
Those shrimp are different and do not go after aiptasia like peppermint shrimp can. They can be more delicate and like to sift thru the sand. Here is a good article about the differences. reefkeepingworld.com/peppermint-shrimp-vs-camel-shrimp/
