This looks really well done. One of the more creative projects I’ve seen on TH-cam. I might have to try it out on my CNC machine. Thanks for the great content!
Thats a great idea! A thought I had when you glued up the finished rings what if you made a jig to help make a semi circle so that you had a dome that you could have done a 2.5D job and cut the halves then glued them together once finished and that should help with keeping the rings concentric.
You didn't give any explanation of variation segment sizes for different diameter ring or the plastic jars? I assume you put a waterproof liner rather than flowers & water in direct contact with wood rings??
Yea, you’re right. I realized I clipped that part out of the video accidentally after I had posted it. I did put down in the description the part about needing a cheap plastic liner insert
Great job.. You explained it perfectly so everyone could understand your process thru-out the video. Can’t wait to see more.
Thanks for watching! I enjoy explaining the process
Incredible job! Came out amazing!
Thank you very much!
I love the new vase! Now “someone” needs to keep it filled!
Looks incredible!!!
Thank you so much! I’m very happy with how it came out
looks great dude! Cool to see how other people could do it without a lathe! I will say, its more fun on a lathe!
Thanks! I definitely enjoy using a lathe as well, mine is an old POS - so I’m sure I’d use it more often if I had a better one.
@@SJSSawdust yeah. I hear that. I have an old harbor freight. Love it and it works fine. Bit always want a bigger and better one. 🤘🏽
You took a really creative approach to making a very nice looking vase. Congratulations on the result!
Thank you so much! I was very pleased when it all came together!
Great job
@@paulrcreech7731 thank you so much!
Great project SJS definitely picking up the svg files.
Awesome - I’d love to see what you end up making!
Brilliant mate
@@Chriswoodworker thanks! I was real happy how it turned out
Good experiment. You could also drill some 1/4" holes with the cnc and use dowels as locating pins during the glueups.
Pretty good suggestion…. Wish I had thought of that…. 😀

Thanks! When you do, please send some pics my way - I’d LOVE to see it!
Looks great. I really like this idea. Maybe there’s a way to add dowel/peg holes on the surface of each ring to help make final alignment easier.
Thanks, and that’s a real good tip…. I wish I thought of that….. 😃
This is fantastic!!
Thank you!

That’s some good food for thought!
This looks great
Thank you!

Очень интересное решение! Люблю людей, которые нарушают рамки обыденности.
Thank you so much!
Amazing design on the CNC. Where in Michigan do you live? Great project.
Thank you so much! I’m just outside the metro detroit area
Nice
I thought so as well! Thanks
