@@lordblenkinsopp1537 yeah i totally agree with you. If you want to start playing Total war, start with those. I first played Rome 2 then decided to buy shogun 2.
Shogun 2 was free to download a few months ago. Should play that as your first introduction. I think this one will have lots of flaws and not a full fledged game because it’s a saga title but still looks fun and could be great with mod support.
Don't listen to them. It does feel much more simplified than older titles, so in my opinion it could be a great starter for your Total War experience. If you like the mechanics you can look into other titles such as the ones mentioned by the people before me. If you like the semi-fantasy/mythical side of Troy you could try the Warhammer franchise. If you're more into historical timelines you can look into the other, older titles.
Have a fun random illiad quote from book 20, from after the fight between Achilles and Aeneas, when Poseidon saves Aeneas from death. Then close to his side came Poseidon, the Shaker of Earth, [330] and he spake, and addressed him with winged words: “Aeneas, what god is it that thus biddeth thee in blindness of heart do battle man to man with the high-hearted son of Peleus, seeing he is a better man than thou, and therewithal dearer to the immortals? Nay, draw thou back, whensoever thou fallest in with him, lest even beyond thy doom thou enter the house of Hades. But when it shall be that Achilles hath met his death and fate, then take thou courage to fight among the foremost, for there is none other of the Achaeans that shall slay thee.”
Hey, I noticed achilles is wearing a more aesthetic armor in the last battle compared to the campaigns and gameplays and promos I saw. can you tell me more.about it?
The story goes like this. Achilles wear the normal armour (the one in the promo), but Patroklos wore it in battle and hector took it of the corpse, so Achilles gets another one from the Gods (the one in the video)
I really hope they put in underhanded spear animations. I can't for the life of my understand why they don't have any. Especially since most historians agree underhanded is how they were used most of the time in formations.
Ello. Can you maybe make a bannerlord video where you use only the watchman and there crossbows. They have the best crossbowmens in the game with a 180 crossbow skill. Or maybe about the other upgrades from the watchman.

Great video. I want to ask you how you did that? Can you please pass some advice or link? Thank you very much.
Ridiculous that this has to be a video, Achilles, Hector, and Aeneas were known and respected fighter, so it’s ridiculous that they failed to show their fighting expertise in total war Troy, I can’t wait for someone to figure out a mod that will solve this and balance them out more. Such as adding weaknesses to each hero, like Achilles taking more damage from bows and hector taking more damage while he is enraged, but does more damage. Stuff like that. Smh to add more context what I mean is that Hector should be able to take out some of these other hero’s quite easily, which I understand for balance reasons that he shouldnt have such an easy time in a battle between them, but realistically I’m pretty sure he can knock them out faaast
in the total war series Lu Bu wins hands down, from what I've seen of this game the Generals aren't nearly as strong as they are in Three kingdoms. Lu Bu destroys whole armies by himself
Why is there no blood in the game? I'm being told that the graphics for blood are being added months down the road as a "DLC". What kind of fuckin nonsense is that? I guess were just going to ask our men to only use blunt weapons.. and not hit too hard until October?
It's kind of weird to do a commentary on duel animations when the synced animations don't contribute to the mechanics in any way. If anything, the random jabs tell you more about who receives damage than the animations do
@@ResonantRTS I know. It's just more entertaining if the commentary matches what's going on. Not your fault, just TW's. In bannerlord, every detail of an attack, from the swing speed to its hit location to the weapon type to the opposing armor type, everything makes for interesting commentary because what we see and hear actually translates to what is going on. Seeing the same 4 animations cycle round, none of which actually indicate anything regarding the course of the fight, gets really old, really quick. As such, commentary that goes by the animations just seems like white noise. Like I said, it's the game's fault. Its limited engine doesn't fit well with your commentating style
