I hated my mother for many years, when I was 10yrs old she came into my room waking me then yelling because I forgot my coat at school, I told her I’d get it Monday when I go back to school but for some reason she busted my mouth with a hairbrush and told me to leave and never come back. From that point on my grandmother raised me(mom’s mom) and I’d tell Granny I hate her!! My grandmother taught me a lesson I’d never forget, she said you don’t hate your mother you hate the sin that’s n her. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when I was n my 30’s, we soon made up after that. I was thankful she found Jesus, I sinned much because of her. I allowed hate to eat at me and I’d tell anyone who would listen when asked why I didn’t live with my parents and my brother and sister. God is good, I’ve never hated another soul and was blessed to be able to share my life with my grandmother and my aunts that I’d stay with on weekends. One aunt was married but couldn’t have children and my other left this world as a virgin, she was a saint and always took care of everyone and placed their needs over her own. How is this significant? God allowed me to see what He looks like n someone and Satan n someone.❤️🙏

I feel ya, I just recently became an adult and me and my siblings would fight all the time. I would always “cheat” so I could get an extra turn on the computer, but this took time away from my siblings to. Before I turned 18 I had to move away from them god has taught me a very valuable lesson not to take others for granted.🙏At least now they all have more time to play on it lol 😂

Wow, very rarely will I read a post when it's kinda long. But for "some reason" I felt compelled to read yours. It's such a good point to separate the person from their sin. Especially when U consider all the variables like what they had been through that led them to acting on their sin. But I do have to say and say respectfully, to hit your child in the face with something, sounds to me like there may have been some mental illness going on too. To feel that level of anger over leaving a coat. But then I wonder if mental illness is a tangible symptom of a spiritual problem? Do U think sin can maybe manifested into evil to a degree of almost possession? Looking back do U remember her acting in a way that maybe there was something else going on?

If you find yourself getting angry at the smallest things or if you feel anything in your heart, sometimes these relationships with family can be dicey. My mother was abusive as well. I would get ticked off by the smallest things and then be miserable for being the way I was. It was difficult for me to think kindly towards my mom. I couldn’t even buy her a Mothers Day card that expressed my love as her daughter. I would get a card that was more fitting for a stranger than a daughter. But I couldn’t lie and buy something mushy either. One day as I was doing some laundry I began to feel so much sorrow in my heart over her. I always wanted a loving mother/daughter relationship and it hurt so much that we didn’t. I finally just said God I know this isn’t pleasing to You, I want to have a good relationship with her but I just can’t. I need your help. Please put your love for her in my heart. Help me to forgive her as you have forgiven me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!!
It took some work but I finally was able to forgive her and love her. I was so happy about it because she died in December of 2000. She died exactly 25 years TO THE DAY after my dad! I still had some work that needed to be done. I was delivered from the bitterness and anger that took root in my spirit from all those years of built up anger. But I was finally free. Praise God!

Curses are definitely something to be careful of. We speak curses on ourselves without even realizing it. My in-laws both died young. My MIL had just turned 79 when she died of cancer. My FIL was 71, about 2 1/2 months away from 72. Both were active, otherwise healthy. Didn’t take any pills, didn’t smoke, active in their church. But cancer was their enemy. After my FIL died my husband said Well I guess I’m next. I said to him Don’t say that for heaven’s sake! I prayed for him but he was gone from me at 70 and 8 months. I think he really believed he was supposed to die next. So now here I am with a broken heart 💔.
There’s no question about it, the things we speak over ourselves matter. If you have said stuff without thinking about it (we all say stuff like ‘my back is killing me.’) repent of it. Ask God to help you stop speaking death over yourself. Start speaking life. My husband spoke death over himself and death is what he got!

My mother is a narcissist. When my brother and I were children she would chase us through the house with a large knife and Mason jar. She told us she would chop us up and stuff us inside. Later she told us to never have children, that they ruin your life because nothing is ever about you. She hated me. Many narcissistic mothers hate their daughters. However, I continued to try. Until I became disabled and I could take torment no more. I hope God understands.

@@kathymc234It sounds like she was more than a narcissist. That's really violent action. So sorry you went through that! She must have been fighting demons coming against her. Of course I wasn't there so I don't know. Only you can know. Thank God He heals the things that are so painful from the past. The Lord is so faithful and so good. We all have dysfunctional people in our lives. Many times it's family. I try to stay away from them as much as possible and just pray for them. I bet you do too. I've dealt with many narcissists over the years. It was liberating when I found out about these people. I could finally put a name on what was going on. When people are acting that crazy it's hard to wrap your head around it. Know what I mean? They make you feel like you are the crazy one and they convince you it's your fault. Looks like you've been there. God bless you! He loves us so very much! ❤️

Why me Lord? I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, both of my sons are special needs and on top of that I’m battling lupus and heart disease. Lord give me strength as I struggle to provide the basic needs for my children. I feel so helpless and alone. But I choose Faith over fear.

Exactly, about the dysfunctional family stories in Scripture. There are lessons to learn & to avoid doing in our lifetimes. The Bible is filled with cautionary stories to hopefully teach us what to avoid so we don't anger God.
Since those ppl, the stories are written about, suffered through finding out the hard way without a written warning to avoid them, we will be held even more accountable for our own mistakes & choices in our lifetimes.

No. Read Leviticus 20:11. Noah cursed Canaan because he was the illegitimate offspring of Ham who raped Noah's wife (his own mother presumably). Canaan was the birth child of Ham's plan to usurp Noah's bloodline as the patriarch. This has deep connections to genesis 6 and the story of the Sons of God and later Canaanite theology. It's also echoed in other stories of evil and usurpation/corruption of bloodlines later in the bible.

I'm praying for my children and grandchildren to know The Lord. And for some to be restored to me. They are kept away from me and it's painful. There's a spirit of anger there and more deception. God is working it out. Praise The Lord.
You are so right about children acting this way. Their consciences seem to be seared. Know what I mean? We have a conscience, right? That inner voice that tells us we're doing wrong? Part of the soul. But when we continuously ignore it we break it. Sear it. Burn it until there's just a huge lump of scar tissue. And that voice that The Lord put in us becomes silent. Pride and arrogance are such sin. And one of satan's greatest weapons is to divide and conquer.

As you can see by using the bible to explain the bible we see that Ham was seeing the Nakedness of his mother, not his father. If it was unacceptable for siblings to marry...how did Cain and Able marry? As the children of the only two people on the earth? Ive always wondered but no one has been able to explain that to me. Cain leaving and finding a wife signifies that there were people on the earth other than Adam and Eve?

The gene pool wasn't corrupted in the beginning. So, the sons of Adam and Eve would have married the daughters of Adam and Eve. Only MUCH later would the commandment be given to NOT marry brothers and sisters. See Answers in Genesis for a more detailed explanation.

Actually, according to Leviticus, to expose the nakedness of someone means that you have intercourse with one's spouse--not just see them physically naked and make fun of them.
The following is what we read in Leviticus:
"You must not expose your father's nakedness by having sexual intercourse with your mother. She is your mother; you must not have intercourse with her.
*You must not have sexual intercourse with your father's wife; she is your father's nakedness*. [Lev 18:7-8 NET]" Ask yourself, why would God need to instruct us in this manner? Who would even think of doing something like this? Answer: evidentally, this rule was made because of Ham did.
We also read in Genesis 9:18-19, "The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Now Ham was the father of Canaan.) These were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated." Ask yourself, why would Noah's sons be mentioned and also that of of one of the sons of Ham? Isn't that strange? Yes, it is. It's because God is pointing us something.
Now combine what we know from Leviticus and Genesis and we realize that Ham did more than just look upon his father's naked body; he literally had sex with Noah's wife (whether see was Ham's mother or step-mother, we don't know). When Noah later discovered this, that Ham had defiled his wife, he cursed the fruit of that intercourse which was Canaan.
"The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Now Ham was the father of Canaan.) [Gen 9:18 NET]
These were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated. [Gen 9:19 NET]
So he said, "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves he will be to his brothers." [Gen 9:25 NET]
He also said, "Worthy of praise is the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem! [Gen 9:26 NET]
May God enlarge Japheth's territory and numbers! May he live in the tents of Shem and may Canaan be his slave!" [Gen 9:27 NET]"
Ham's sin was in trying to dominate his father by bedding Naoh's wife and thus, become the ruler of the new world. That was the way things were done in the preflood/antediluvian era. PLUS, God had already blessed Noah's three sons. So, Noah's only alternative was to curse the fruit that Ham planted inside Noah's wife; he was unable to curse Ham himself because of God's blessing.

Genesis 9:22 "And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without."
Canaan is mentioned again as being the son of Ham, yet his birth has not come yet.
Genesis 9:23 "And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and sent backward, and covered the nakedness of the father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness."
What this is saying is that only Ham took part in this sinful act. The "Nakedness of their father", is the term for their mother. Ham performed the sex act with his mother. This is why it is important for us to mature in our minds and not let the fairy tales of the Kenites deceive us here. Shem and Japheth took a blanket and turned their heads, as they went in to cover their mother, after she had been defiled by Ham.
The child, Canaan was the result of Ham's sinful act, and this is not the start of the African American, nor is it the start of any other people racially, for both Ham and his mother were of the same, they were "Adamic" or Caucasian. That is what our Genesis study is all about, following the purity of the bloodline that the Christ child would be born to.
Many seminaries today still turn out those "one verse preachers" that teach the damnable lie that this was where the African American came from. There is no manuscript of any language that takes this position, in any form, that a race [kind] was created by a sinful act. All races were created on the sixth day, and they were all good, and that includes the entire African American race. They came before the Adamic race, and that is why God commanded Noah to take "male and female of every kind" aboard the ark.
God does everything in a natural order. The sinful act of Ham was very unnatural, and it is against both the nature and character of God, to allow the creation of any people of racial difference to come from sin. It is against the laws of God. In Leviticus 18 we read:
Leviticus 18:7, 8 "The nakedness of they father, or the nakedness of they mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness." [verse 7] "The nakedness of they father's wife shat thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness." [verse 8]
Leviticus 20:11 "And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
This law was not in affect when Ham took his mother, and this is why Canaan was named before he was ever born. Canaan was conceived while Noah was drunk, and his wife could have very well also been drunk. Again there is no way that people of the same race, or kind, can lie with each other and reproduce another race. God created all animals to reproduce after their own kind. No race ever came from an incestuous affair, and to believe it is to believe a lie.
There is no curse put on any race of men, for God would never create any life form and put a curse upon it. The only curse God puts on a person, is on the individual soul for his own personal act. God put the curse on Esau's soul, for the acts that he committed in that first earth age.
Genesis 9:24 "And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him."
Again, there is no law against seeing your father naked.
Genesis 9:25 "And he said, "Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall be unto his brethren."
What did this verse say? He [Noah] said, "cursed be Canaan". It says that Noah said, and not God, for it is Noah doing the talking. This old man was just getting up from an drunken binge, and has an hang-over, when he cursed Canaan, and not Ham. Canaan had just been conceived, and the embryo had just been formed inside Noah's wife. It was the act that Noah cursed.
Genesis 9:26 "And he said, "Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant."
This is still Noah doing the talking, and not God.

This narrarator of this video makes it seem like Noah was a drunkard. Who knows whether this was the first and last time Noah drank too much in a celebration? For such a thing to happen only one time and in error is not the issue. The narrator of this account is wrong to imply that Noah was a drunkard. Scripture does not tell us that this was the case.
Rather, this was an isolated case in which Noah had a bit too much wine and fell asleep. It doesn't say he was dry-heaving into a bowl as a drunkard would.
Furthermore, the point of the account is this:
You have to understand the whole situation. Genesis 6 is the account of when the fallen angels had sex with women and produced Nephilim (chimeras). this kind of thing was rampant in the days before Noah was born and also afterward which required the cleansing of the earth (via the worldwide Flood).
Also, according to Leviticus, to expose the nakedness of someone means that one has intercourse with another's spouse--not just seeing them physically naked and making fun of them.
The following is what we read in Leviticus:
"You must not expose your father's nakedness by having sexual intercourse with your mother. She is your mother; you must not have intercourse with her.
*You must not have sexual intercourse with your father's wife; she is your father's nakedness*. [Lev 18:7-8 NET]"
Ask yourself, why would God need to instruct us in this manner? Who would even think of doing something like this? Answer: evidentally, this rule was made because of Ham did.

Ask yourself, why would Noah's sons be mentioned and also that of of one of the sons of Ham? Isn't that strange? Yes, it is. It's because God is pointing us something.
Now combine what we know from Leviticus and Genesis and we realize that Ham did more than just look upon his father's naked body; he literally had sex with Noah's wife (whether see was Ham's mother or step-mother, we don't know). When Noah later discovered this, that Ham had defiled his wife, he cursed the fruit of that intercourse which was Canaan. Also, because this is what cursed the world and caused the flood in Noah's day and age. It seems that Noah was preventing this curse affect the whole world by placing the curse on this one product of the sin of Ham. Also, Ham had been blessed by God and Noah could not then curse him. Furthermore, having one's progeny cursed would be more devastating to the father who caused the problem in the first place.

So, Noah's only alternative was to curse the fruit that Ham planted inside Noah's wife; he was unable to curse Ham himself because of God's blessing.

the sin that ham committed..was that he had sexual intercourse with his mother...where it says that Noah uncovered himself in the tent.Noah was not alone in his tent he was with his wife..the bible says when you marry you be come one...so Noah would class his wife as himself....they were both so drunk...that ham took advantage of his father nakedness..meaning his wife..Leviticus chapter 18 verse 7 says the nakedness of your father and the nakedness of your mother you should not lay bare...incest with family members is forbidden

Meanwhile, Lev 20:11 NET tells us that "If a man has sexual intercourse with his father's wife, he has exposed his father's nakedness. Both of them must be put to death; their blood guilt is on themselves."
Canaan was cursed in his condition (being born from an incestuous relationship) because of what his father did to his own mother or step-mother. This was a death sentence to the one or one's who sinned. It was disgraceful thing and they had to bear their punishment for their iniquity. Canaan did not bear their punishment, though I'm sure everyone knew how he had been conceived and therefore had to live with their insulting looks and opinions.

"seeing the nakedness of his father " is a Hebrew idiom and it means Ham incestuously raped his mother. Ham attempting to surpass his father as the lead for the clan. A very serious act of presumptuousness on Ham's part and therefore the punishment was to guarantee none of Ham's descendants would ever lead the clan (the curse against Caanan.)
"Seeing the nakedness"" can be seen also in Leviticus 18, (as a sexual sin,) but as an idiom simply cannot be translated directly word for word since it makes no sense at all.

You need to study the Bible because it's exactly spells out what it means to uncover your father's nakedness. Even Ruben son of Jacob had committed the exact same sin. Cain was cursed because of his condition, not because of anything his father did. It had nothing whatsoever to do with what his father had done. That would have been a violation of scriptural and the law of God in the first place.
To uncover your father's nakedness is described in the biblical text as sleeping with your father's wife, not necessarily your mother, but sleeping with your father's wife.
Furthermore, there are civilizations on the Earth today that predate the date of the flood of Noah that have I've been keeping track of everything that went on since their civilization was formed, notably the Chinese. Nowhere in their records is there any break in their records at the time of the flood. You did not happen, at least not at the time that the Bible seems to indicate. Either that or the scope of the flood at that time was completely different than people attempt to infer.
There was a flood 9,600 Years BC. There is direct evidence that that incident did occur.

To uncover nakedness in this time and place is an idiom for having sexual relations. Did Ham assault Noah? Some believe so. Another theory is tht Ham had sex with his Mother. Noah's wife. Since marriage makes them one flesh.. then it is a sin against Noah also.. the sex resulted in pregnancy.. which was why the curse was placed on the child... the fruit of this atrocity

I think most likely Noah cursed Canaan because God spared Noah’s sons and wanted them to be fruitful and multiply. Ham’s other children would be able to continue multiplying without all of them being cursed.
It could also just be a case of the punishment fitting the crime…maybe because Noah’s son was disrespectful, Noah cursed ham’s son in return.

      Very close, indeed!
To better understand the whole situation, Genesis 6 is the account of when the fallen angels had sex with women and produced Nephilim (chimeras).
We also read in Genesis 9:18-19, "The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. (Now Ham was the father of Canaan.) These were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated."

what terrifies me is the lack of biblical education n the lack of understanding the Holy Bible.. now that alone should terrify everyone who believes in this lie..The biblical account of Noah's drunkenness and his curse of slavery is very clear about who was cursed. Although it was Ham who behaved improperly toward his father, Noah, it was not Ham whom Noah cursed. Rather, Noah cursed Ham's son Canaan.

Hello! I can answer this conundrum. I have a mom ( I love her dearly) who is an atheist. She introduced me to magik and witchcraft. She still loves that stuff and all things dark. I honor her because she's my mom by calling her frequently, sending her cards telling her I love her, and generally by being a "good" daughter. In respect to what she believes and gives as presents, I politely decline her presents for me and my children when it is occultist in nature. I explain why I do this to my children who still both love her, but know that she's "off." I also do not allow her to spend time alone ith my children. We all get together and my children know to look to me for advice when it comes to "Grandmom." In addition to this, I pray for her daily. I ask the Lord to save her as she won't hear me when I try to share the gospel with her.
Yes, she has told me she was going to kill on more than a few occasions in regard to my belief in God, but I think it was more of an empty threat because she didn't know how to respond. There is very likely a spiritual dimension going on here, too.
As for my father, he fought me on every turn, too. He was in a cult which procalimed to be Christian but was not. I did the same with him.
I hope this helps. I believe my dad did come to Christ before he passed away and that I will see him again. I continually pray the same for my mom.

Who did Cain marry? The world had been flooded, the only remaining humans stepped off the ark? so who was there alive that he could marry? Another mystery 🤔

    • @taylorking5463
      @taylorking5463 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

No mystery. Adam and Eve had LOTS of other children. There are only 3 that are specifically named because of their particular story and how it plays out.
Also, one has to consider the passage of time which brought about these specific events. When we read about their births, it seem like it happened the very day that Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden. We are not given the timing of their physical intercourse nor the dates of the births of these boys or the other children (except Seth). We're not even told how old the boys were when Cain rose up against Able. From the reading, it's evident that they were adults -- but how old? We're not told. Could there also be daughters around the same ages? I would think so.
Obviously, Cain married one of his sisters since Eve was the mother of all living (Gen 3:20) and Adam was the first man (1Cor 15:45). The DNA had not yet become corrupted so the obvious choice for a son of Adam and Eve was to marry one of his sisters. And think about it, where did Seth get his wife? Either one of his sisters or a cousin. The earth grew fast in population in those days.
