I don´t think Dalinar will do a Sazed, and my guess is probably we will lose Dalinar to Odium in the duel or something will go extremely bad in this book, like, we will cry so hard and the book won't have a good ending.

You know, I always come back to listen to this song because of how simple but layered it is. Maybe it's because of the repetition of the "You cannot..." phrase in the lyrics, but it shows that even in his worst moment, Dalinar stood up once more and continued walking forwards. He remained truthful to probably one of his most famous quote and took the next step. Maybe that was all he needed to rise once more as a better man, just like the third ideal states. This is a truly wonderful song that encapsulates Dalinar's stellar progression (and the "I am Unity" moment too).
Dalinar would probably be an antagonist in most stories. Grant it a complex antagonist, but he would probably be killed by the main hero. But here, he a man with issues. Massive issues, but he’s a good man who’s trying to make up for what he’s done in the past.

I've heard this done really well in the song Alchemist by Nathan Wagner and I think it would give an emotional ending to the song instead of just ending on the rising notes. But that is just my humble oppinion, I love it either way!

Everybody clap along
What did you use to mix the song? It sounds amazing! I can't stop listening to it.
I’m so glad you asked, and I first want you to know how much it means that you referenced the mix and sound of the song; I am extreeeeemely hard on myself in those areas. THANK YOU.
So I used Logic Pro X, on a 2017 MacBook Pro (no touchbar). The one third-party app I used was Melodyne.
@@stormlyte thanks for answering. It sounds great. Do you have any plans to make songs about other characters? I think that Kaladin's arc would probably make for a great song.
@@connorcastonguay3554, thank you so much for your idea!! Others have said the same thing over the past week, so I’m currently rereading RoW to get a feel for his arc so I can compose a song about him!
@@stormlyte Nice! I'm very excited to see what you come up with.
Hi! This was a great piece and an absolute banger! Have you or are you planning to share a tutorial on how to play this or tabs and or notes etc? I'd love to play this on my guitar
1. The song is great. 2. I really hate to be that guy because the art is beautiful but isn’t Dalinar supposed to be standing where the wall of the city was broken? Not in the field?
Thank you so much for listening!! And I’m so glad you enjoyed it. You’ve probably read it more recently than I have (it’s been well over a year, maybe 2!), so I’m guessing you’re right! :) Artist’s interpretation ;)
Are you a fan of The Dear Hunter? Sounds kinda like their style
I have never heard of The Dear Hunter!! I’ll go check them out!!
That’s why the old one got deleted i guess.
Yeah, a week after I called it done, I was unhappy with the way my mix turned out. Remixed from the ground up! :)
ONE OF THE CORPSES ON THE WALL ARE IN THE FAMILY GUY DEATH POSE IM DEAD
Needs a screamo remix
Dewit!
