Totally! Your player agency really does come from what items you choose to purchase and, as you say, how much you're prepared to push your luck in terms of not buying stuff. (Plus maybe some smaller decisions about when and if to use some of those items ). Thanks for watching!
I picked up the game and the extra cards and decided to assign a number to each location and roll to see what location for each encounter. Mixes it up a bit. Thanks for this video! Love it.
Plus what I love about this game is it encourages you to make your own locations which keeps the game fresh and exciting! Plus making the game endless!
Plus with the dark maze location I have added these fun rules to it. After you kill a baddie you must decide if you want to either expore the maze again and face another baddie or to escape the maze. You must escape the maze before you can move to another location. If you want to exit the maze you must roll a 6 to escape for every failed attempt you must gain DMG 3 injury as you get lost deeper inside the maze and you hurt yourself. )
18:52 You fought another ghost for Encounter 11 but it should have actually been a ghoul because you rolled a 3. 20:27 You didn't actually defeat the slime. You needed to roll GREATER than 4. Remember, you don't have your sword anymore.
Glad to hear it! (I know there are some others, but I couldn't name them. There is a pack of card sized solo rpgs...they are more journalling type games, and I don't recall what they are called.)
You're very welcome - happy to return the favour (fairly sure I discovered Dungeon Blitz and probably a few others through your channel!). I've already covered Cy//Korg - you'll have to scroll a bit into the past to find it 🙂
Adding this to my travel kit. May want to look into: *Dungeon Hero/AdvanceQuest*, *Bookmark No HP RPG*, Bell Whisper (by Towerhouse Creative, makes great solo dice!)
This will be a great fit for my wallet when I’m traveling around. Not sure how to stuff a d6 in there, though? 😊 Would LOVE to see you work up your own credit card sized game and document the process!
You could get some pretty small dice 🙂 Ah thanks - I've been working on a game but I might have bitten off more than I can chew with the one 😁 maybe I could make a mini version of that....
I get what the game is going for but I feel like maybe smaller text and perhaps no "cover art" would have helped because Korg needs just a slight bit more complexity. Just a little.
@@lone_adventurer Yeah, I just can't help but think with a small amount of effort a slightly more interesting dice mechanic could have been used. As it stands, it seems like a fun little game of managing numbers.
@@MattMillerMacLeodfair enough 🙂 Personally, I think there's room in the hobby for complex games and games that are a bit more simplistic in their approach. Thanks for commenting 👍
@@lone_adventurer can you recommend any solo dungeon crawlers that are less rng based? I like using dice but not when every outcome and encounter is based purely on a diceroll
@@madison4698 Well Doom Pilgrim uses no dice, so you could check that out! Or you could go for something that is less 'generative' than games like this - something a bit more freeform like Harper's Quest or Ironsworn.
This game proves that simple rules can still give you a good game experience!
Quite a snappy little game. Surprising how quick and easy it is to play through it and all the expansions.
Yup it's super accessible. Crazy that he managed to conceive a fully playable game concept on one side of a card!
Brought it with me on vacation and it was the perfect game to sit by the pools and play.
Perfect! And all's good if you drop it in the pool 😁
So the crux of the game is how good you are at either shopping or holding off from shopping. A bit (a lot?) of Push Your Luck. Nice!

I like it! I would be surprised if there aren't some additional locations on itch.io (and if there isn't, someone should totally make some!).
Plus what I love about this game is it encourages you to make your own locations which keeps the game fresh and exciting! Plus making the game endless!
Totally! I was immediately tempted to make my own location or to bolt on some additional mechanic!
@lone_adventurer definitely I already have I have created the dark wood and the dark maze

@@12345gerrard Very nice!
Beautiful little game. Just purchased the full set 👍🏻
This game is a masterclass in game design. So much fun on a single business card!
Totally - I know the mechanics are simple, but it does blow my mind a bit that the game actually works given how insanely slight the rules are!
@@lone_adventurer Yes. We can all learn something from this!
You cleaned half Underworld as a Demon Slayer... until a little ridiculous slime appeared 😱
It was so fun to see your gameplay! 😁
Yeah that slime really ruined my fun :D Thanks for watching!
"WELCOME TO THE DUNGEON OF INFINITE DEMONS!!!" 😄👍
That's a lot of game in such a tiny package.
You can never have too many 😁
Really enjoy your video! I follow your path into 2d6 dungeon and find it's such a gem. And can't wait to see the next episode of 2d6 dungeon!
Thanks for watching! Yeah, 2D6 is a lot of fun - there will be a new video very soon!
Good start with this one, thanks.
the credit card concept is very interesting. very sturdy i'm sure.
Sturdy is the word 🙂

Really interesting that a so small game can be so much fun!
Looks like fun. Just bought it and the expansion 👍
Cool! Hope you enjoy it!
Thanks! Got a copy coming.
Great! Hope you enjoy it 👍
wait more credit card sized games? can you name drop/recommend some? I got CyKorg and Korg because of your videos and I love both of them!
Glad to hear it! (I know there are some others, but I couldn't name them. There is a pack of card sized solo rpgs...they are more journalling type games, and I don't recall what they are called.)
Cool! Thanks for introducing me to this. Will you be doing a playthrough of Cy//Korg?

Simple rules doesn't mean the game play isn't going to be rubbish!
Do you still get the gold if you rope the trap?
Not sure....yes? :)
I would rather have the credit card! Only joking! Lol 😆
I mean...I haven't tried to use it to pay for anything yet...I'll give it a go!
When you encountered the slime, shouldn't the armor have been destroyed first then the sword?
Yup!
He didn't have armor; he had a shield, which isn't as valuable as the sword.

If you're writing your games down, consider a six-sided pen or pencil.
I love the card game idea, small and fast!
