  • This video is on location and in the field: Bali Indonesia with the Ricoh Rikenon 35-70mm P Zoom Macro for Pentax - mounted on a Sony 6500 using a 'dumb' adapter. The 'Macro' features of the lens are not worth mentioning to be honest. Not just for hipsters, this vintage lens from the 80s is also good for broke youths and cheapskates. I reckon the focal length is good for travel, and if you are fine with manual focusing, is still a viable lens to use in the Future-land of 2019.
    Aperture: 3.4-4.5 - not fast
Length: 35-70mm good for travel photography.
Filmed in 4K, unless clips are slow-mo, uploaded in HD
Prone to chromatic aberration and flaring in direct sunlight resulting in purply blacks.

Just ordered this for my Ricoh XR-S film camera. Great shots of what looks like Galungan (?) festival. Now I'm dying to go shoot film in Bali!!! Good review, sad to hear that it won't do much for macro shooting but seems versatile and sharp otherwise.

It wasn't Galungan festival, it was a festival for a particular temple outside Ubud, near Singakerta I think.
