I love watching WWC videos specifically in which Vic and Josh are together as they together have huge wealth of knowledge and experience in practical reefing. They explain complex ideas in easy to understand bite size gold nuggets. I am reefing hobbyists since 2017 and have been following these guys on youtube for so long that the second I get notified that WWC posted new video specially these two pros in it I have to stop everything and watch right away. Thank you!
Maybe I got lucky but I bought 2 Rainbow BTA's and 2 clown fish and they hosted in less than a week. The are farm raised clown fish from Petco. I normally do buy fish from Petco but when I noticed the pair I had to try.
Fun fact i thought my fish was sick so i fed him metroplex and focus with food and broke out with a fungal infection, good thing so now im treating him with kordon rid ich plus
I have 2 LemonPeel angelfish paired up and so far they have yet to pick at my corals I'm really just making sure they don't pick at my NY Knicks torch lol.
To clarify, was the answer on QT that you have seen success by only observation for a period of time and then treating or have copper and prazi regardless?
We recommend to treat your fish with Cupramine and Prazipro 24 hours after being added to your QT tank. We have an excellent guide on how to quarantine your fish on our new fish acclimation guide from our website: worldwidecorals.com/pages/new-fish-acclimation-guidelines
Great video guys. I recently had to downsize and now have a 25 gallon lagoon on my desk. I want to pack it with fish, but obviously that is not possible. The three fish in there right now are a cryptic six line, a helfrichi fire fish, and a small blenny. Do you think I can get anything else in there?? There are corals of all kind so they have to be reef safe
A Basslet like a Gramma or Swissguard would be perfect bud. Or some type of Goby. I’d suggest Sharknose or Greenbanded types or Randalls type with a pistol shrimp if you have sand
Any tips for bedroom coral farmers and fish breeders? Also, how long does it take for clownfish to breed? My pair are both at about 1.3-1.5 inches. Do they wait until ideal conditions?
With 3 pairs of clowns, the only ones that took to Nems are my Black Ocellaris. They love both LTA's & BTA's 🤷🏻♀️ Also, Josh is a little spicy in this video 🌶️🫣😂
I've had great luck putting my fish through Safety Stop then monitoring them for a week or two in quarantine before I'll put them in the display in an acclimation box for another week.
The way this was edited made it sound like we were talking only about the harlequin. The other half referring to the LPS was regarding the leather jacket or the matted filefish. You are correct to an extent they will eat other small polyps as well. Like turbinaria, plesiastrea, cyphastrea etc...
@jdearel1 Thank you . cyphastrea wasn't what's I wanted to hear. . But it kinds figures . One of my favorites fish . I guess they eat mastic good . Be cool if you would do a spotlight on them . Maybe get a few
I agree with introducing a sick fish into your tank is your own fault to a certain extent. In my experience it's almost a 50/50 shot for beginners on survival. However, I do believe the fish store should hold some type of responsibility due selling you a sick fish because the employee should at least know or have some knowledge because they are in the store and around these fish basically daily and should be completely transparent with the customer. With that said a good store will work with you on a discount of a new fish you will buy because the one you originally purchased died the very next day. When you're talking 300 plus dollars for a fish, I will make dang sure that fish eats and behaves normally before buying.

😎
Excellent video great information and really a great way of explaining reef safe and non reef safe fish
Thank you all for watching!!
Now if only i could talk my wife into having a quarantine tank. For some reason she thinks a 220gal tank is to much.😂
Maybe I got lucky but I bought 2 Rainbow BTA's and 2 clown fish and they hosted in less than a week. The are farm raised clown fish from Petco. I normally do buy fish from Petco but when I noticed the pair I had to try.
Thats fantastic they are doing well for you!
I'm jealous I got 2 anemone then one split and my clowns don't give a damn about them. 😂
I love your videos and I learn a lot from you. Can you do a video on fish nutrition and feeding. I love how full your fish look.
Keep a eye out for this new series!! we have more coming.
Wish I knew how Vic created flow in that pico tank. I have my own and I'm struggling to not have too much!
Fun fact i thought my fish was sick so i fed him metroplex and focus with food and broke out with a fungal infection, good thing so now im treating him with kordon rid ich plus
Have you seen a difference in how the blonde Naso eats the black algae compared to regular naso?
It took a couple of years for my clowns to host in my RBTA but they finally did it.
They must be loving life now!
Can you guys make a video to show all the designer clowns you have in most tanks
We will pass that idea along to our video team.
@ nice that would be great 👍
I have 2 LemonPeel angelfish paired up and so far they have yet to pick at my corals I'm really just making sure they don't pick at my NY Knicks torch lol.
Hopefully they do not pick at your torch!
My clowns host a chalice!
That's awesome!

What about the pyramid butterfly? Is it reef safe ?
We do not consider the Pyramid Butterfly reef safe since there is always that chance they will nip at coral.

Do you have inverts in the system?
@@WorldWideCorals just the typical clean up crew of snails and crabs
@@_JMann I appreciate the info. Going to look into them tonight. Thanks
Do you like the goby family?

We do not breed clownfish.

Haha just a bit

We are glad that is working out for you, it is a smart idea to quarantine your new fish!
Try kordon hydroplex for a fish dip
What’s the best at eating ulva my tang won’t touch it
Vlamingi Tangs are our best recommendation if your tank is large enough.
Man, you got me afraid my aptasia file fish is going to turn on my corals. 😂 if only he'd actually eat aphasia though. 😅
Very interesting 😊 I've heard harlequin ( orange spotted file file fish ) eats SPS . Anybody have any bad experiences with LPS or Soft ?

can you suggest a dosage of praziquantel ? 600mg or 500mg ? in how much water volume ? and is it safe to use praziquantel for humans ?
We highly recommend you consult the manufacturer with these questions.
Shit, I just learned that about wrasses as well. great information as always Josh!!!
Thank you for checking it out my friend :)
I prefer inverts . Less disease , cooler and priced better.
Can't go wrong with some nice invertebrates!
Nothing bad comes from Australia hahahha
Not at all! 😁

all my clowns always mega mean, and they dont have a utilitarian purpose in the tank other than looking cool hahaha
yeah I have 6 (3 tank systems) and all the females of the pairs smash my fingers every time I put my hand in the tank.
Clownfish may not have a utilitarian purpose, but they have a great personality!
