I recently started up a wedding decor rental business, I live in a small, rural town and the majority of the clients I have worked with mainly want rustic/country decor/styled events. Although I personally want to venture out into different styles such as bohemian, industrial, eclectic, and romantic/glam looks, I'm worried that may not attract anybody! Should I risk investing in inventory that may or may not appeal to some brides and make them think outside of the box or stick with the style that my audience already likes? Cater to your likes! If your inventory offers something totally different than your competitors you will be at an advantage. Don't carry what you don't love or you won't sell the inventory with nearly as much passion. I promise there are people who will love your unique offerings. Plus, if you're willing to delivery your stuff to the closest "big town" even if it's an hour away (charge accordingly!!!), that will help too. Most rental places I know delivery around an hour away, sometimes 2. That helps them reach additional markets or even couples who live in the same city as the rental company but plan to wed somewhere more urban.

Thanks so much for your helpful advice, it has been troubling me having to constantly invest in decor that I am really not too big of a fan of which makes this new venture of mine not so fun lol I am definitely going to go against the grain of my small towns style preference and hopefully attract various audiences and ppl who are willing to think outside of wood slabs and mason jars 😊 lol!
