Good stuff Sara. There is nothing like knowing Jesus for yourself… he is mmm mmm good. I wish churches talked about spiritual warfare more & the importance of constant repentance & forgiveness. As to not leave an open door for sin to allow Satan to have access.
Hey sis! This message resignated with me so much. As im sitting here with hubby and we are listening to you, I had to pause a couple of times because you are so on point with everything your saying, especially with wanting the preacher to go deeper. For this very caause my husband and I had to bow out gracefully from our church we was attending in Brookyln, New York for several reasons, but the main reason was we wasnt growing in the things of God and in his word. The message was very elementary and like you we wanted him to go deeper in the word of God, but he wouldnt. Instead, he would say things like "he has to feed us the word in bite size pieces", and he said this for 10years and would preach the same sermons year in and year out. He wanted to keep us in an toddler stage. I feel a man of God is suppose to preach the gospel so that you will mature in christ, outside of our own personal work with the Lord. As we study and show our selves approved by mediating day and night and having the Holy spirit ministering to us and helping us go deeper in our understanding. It should all be confirmed by a man of God because the word of God say in Roman 10:14 " How can you understand with out a preacher" thats why we need a man of God to lead us, so we wont lean on ower own understanding. However, these preacher don't want to go deeper in the word because 1. Its not allowed under the 501C3 they may have with the governmement or 2. fear of offending someone and losing members. Its so sad, and I agree church is only the beginning its not the end. Thanks for sharing, keep up the amazing content sis.♥Be Blessed!🙏🏾

And you are absolutely correct, we should be led to mature in our walk with Christ, and it is a sign it may be time to move on if there is no growth. I too think fear is a big reason, but I didn't know anything regarding the law and what's allowed to be taught in church, I will have to do some research on that. I so appreciate you watching and your support! Praying to find a Holy Spirit led pastor/church, and I will be praying for you and your husband to find an amazing church home if you all haven't already found one. ❤️🙏🏼❤️
