I absolutely love it. You’ve got more of a Summer Vacation vibe going on there since wagon in Christmas vacation was an 89 Ford Taurus buuuuut A+ for effort.
Love A Friday Night Mortske and DUFF!!! I believe it was before you lost the old shop and you had put a few back and were eating pizza back when I first found you and Hamms Light was flowing.....was a good one.
I saw the wagon in the thumbnail and I knew I had to watch, well, I mean never miss your videos anyway but the more wagons the better! My grandpa carried a buckeye in his front pocket for as long as I could remember and now I always carry one and I also have his WW2 P38 Army can opener I keep in my wallet.
Mr. Mortske, I let out a Joyful Big Belly laugh with your "DD Speed Shop would drive this car this way" comment. Your videos are among of my favourites. DD Speed Shop and Cold War Motors are up there with you. I love your road trips south to Puddin' to work on cars and horse around and you two's humour. Would be funny if you headed up North to Canada sometime. I love you're doing a pre-Christmas video. Thank you for the joy you bring me every week. Merry Christmas and God Bless you and your family and friends, and Duff. Sincerely, Blaine Halley, Santa Cruz, CA
I love Christmas time I like reminiscing about when I was a kid and how it was around the house, decorations mom, we play the music, etc.. Merry Christmas to New Year’s Morski
Now thats what I call a Christmas Special . It came complete with a tree and a dose of outlandish Mortske humor . May your Christmas be filld with Good food , Good Beer , and Good cheer , The best of the season to You and Yours from Stuart in Canada ..
My parents had a 71 Galaxie wagon...identical. Full of STP oil treatment. (The previous owners probably saw Richard Petty endorse it back in the day) when they bought it...and it was NEW. If you ever run out of oil or transmission fluid, STP will work in a pinch. 😅😅 Tech tip of the day. Great decorating idea Mort! 🎄
The Family Truckster !!! I love Chevy Chase and I got to meet him when I was an extra in the movie the Three Amigos while we were eating in the commissary on break at the Culver Studios in Culver City it used to be called Selznic and was Tera in Gone with the Wind then it was Desilu for a while .
i quit handkerchief's 20 years ago ( i'm 79 ) and use paper towels , 10" x 11" sheets work best . Throw away after several blows . My carry stuff , 4" crescent and a pocket knife . Y'all have a good Christmas . PS : i gotta Duff bobble head when they first came out and now your givin stuff away , not fair !!
My folks bought a 1969 LTD Country Squire wagon brand new in the summer of 1970. It was a hold over & I think because of the price . I remember my dad saying he got it for less than a stripped down 1970 Ford wagon.. We had a 65 Impala wagon & we loaded up for a cross country vacation. My dad stopped by the Ford dealer on the way outta town and pulled up beside this big ole Ford.. Then tells us to move the luggage over & get in ! That wagon was the bomb... My dad & I were "car guys" and Im sure I wore him out with questions... She had a 429 with all the bells & whistles .. It was a great car . It was green with hidden lights , & fake wood grain sides.. I asked my dad later how he talked mom into buying 2 new cars in about 18 months . ( He bought a 69 Impala 2 door with a 327 , 4 speed) He said , because the wagon was for her .. I wish I had kept that 69...I bought it from my dad in 81 (I think) for the motor & tranny.
Xmas with St. Mortske. Well done. I always wonder what kind of tires Santa used but figured if he was bringing presents to kids they were "GOODYEAR". On the other hand, if he was trying to save money and told the elves he wanted "ARMSTRONG", it would explain the sleigh. My buddy and I used to do cruise in's and his 69 Ford Wagon got lots of looks because they are made anymore. Station Wagons were the first SUV's.
Thanks for Saturday Duff! No matter how much BS going on in the world, just seeing the Duff brings Peace. Watching this was like a three martini lunch at the Londonderry Pub on Park Avenue at Christmas time. Thanks, Mort. Love The Duff!
CHICKASHA, Okla. - Inspired by local legend, a 50-foot-tall recreation of the iconic "A Christmas Story" leg lamp - complete with a black high heel, fringed lampshade and box marked "fragile" - has become a permanent statue.
Believe it or not I find it quite " Homey", and " Peaceful", to hang out in the shop with Sir Mortikus in the evenings !....Keep 'em coming !....PS: I love the evil Gretta .
I had exactly one of these for road trips in the 'states about 35 years ago! Mine was dark brown metallic and I think it was a '72. Suspension of a boat crossing another boat's wake (-: Always loved the "fake woody" wagons.
Look at you... almost like watching the "Grinch that stole Christmas" could almost see your heart grow 3 sizes in one day...Feliz Navidad... and as Clark would say "Hallelujah!..Holy Sh*t!..Where's the Tylenol?
Pop’s had a wagon exactly like that back in the mid 70’s. Your dog is awesome Love the crazy sense of humor Merry Christmas to you from sunny Floriduh.
I seen the wagon and got excited 😂 I had to watch this one on the big screen ...My parents had a 1969 Pontiac grand safari with wood grain that thing was so cool. Literally reminded me of the titanic. My Dad got it from my grandparents and we drove it from Tenessee to Toledo Ohio home and Dad had to stick chewing gum on the fuel tank because it had a pinhole in it and he was averaging a whole 6 mpg..Mom would turn the corner and we would go flying from side to side in the very back. II would love to find one like they had with the clam shell tailgates...Great video
My Dad bought a wagon just like that when I was a teenager and made me drive it back home 30 miles and when I turned down our gravel road I fish tailed that thing all the way to the house. 😅
Back in the OLD days we were taught how to tie knots in scouts. That was before all these fancy ratchet straps. Also, we used chain and chain binders for the big stuff.
Always carried a snot rag when my kids were younger , luckily they finally grew up , kinda , a harbor freight razor knife clipped to my pocket now "the best thing they sell " always comes in handy
Dads little sis had a brand new 1972 Country Squire , yellow with woodgrain , dad owned a muffler shop and put duals with glasspaks on it , auntie bought it brand new in 1974 from dealership in east Texas, they sold it to her for cost . We called it the banana wagon . Dad and uncle put chrome reverse wheels on it for her birthday the next year , she ran around town laying rubber for years .
Saw the thumbnail and wondered what the hell has Mortske gotten himself into this time? Turns out it was Xmas yard art, and she’s a beaut Clarke. And what the heck got into Duff other than a case of the zoomies? Out there like a little pup, man the older he gets the younger he acts. And he is the goodest boy, he deserves a treat.
I’m a 32 year old bicycle mechanic from London England. You do reach more people than you think I’d say. Here for the cars and comedy, staying for the duffalufagus.
I triple-Duff dare you!! I'm old enough to have seen "A Christmas Story" when it released at the theaters...yep, 1983. I was 11. Although filmed in Ohio, the "Story" takes place in my hometown of Indiana. That's pretty neat.
I grew up in a green woody LTD, parents drove all over the great USA!! But then it broke down and the Ford dealer loaned a Maverick while the big block was being rebuilt, and it never came back to our garage…. The Mav stayed and cross country trips never happened again…
Had a snot rag in my pocket since I was 6 and now Ime 73 😂. Mum used to tie my lunch money in the corner of the hanky when I went to primary school. Multi function device 😂 Gooday from AUS 🇦🇺🦘
My 1st car was a 1968 country squier wagon, it was only 12 years old, it had sat for 5 years, was all beat to heck, payed 250 for it, from a car dealer near the base I was stationed at, got me home from California to Wa state , and I don't remember what my point was... Merry Christmas 🎁

Love A Friday Night Mortske and DUFF!!! I believe it was before you lost the old shop and you had put a few back and were eating pizza back when I first found you and Hamms Light was flowing.....was a good one.
It is rare for a defibrillator to fail but when they do no one's shocked.
The bad pun of the day! We'll done sir!
I love how you and puddin mess with each other!!!!!!!
I saw the wagon in the thumbnail and I knew I had to watch, well, I mean never miss your videos anyway but the more wagons the better!

Loving this build. I was in scouts and now I’m an adult scout leader and teaching knots is enjoyable
My first car was a '71 Ford Galaxie 500 4 dr hardtop, so I have liked '71s ever since.

Great idea!!! Now all you need is an old beat-up RV with a sewage line strung out towards the road! > MERRY CHRISTMAS < 🎄
My dad, rest his soul, back in the late 40s as a teen, used sections of round guttering for the straight pipes.
Have a amazing Christmas Duff and Mortske

I love how much thought you put into that station wagon just to dress it up for Christmas and
Not sure why but it reminds me of Eric Formans Vista Cruiser on that 70’s Show. 😂. As always enjoyed the show thanks for sharing!

Yep, a will it run is needed for the Griswald 911 wagon.
It's worth reviving. Just don't put a damned LS in it. Leave it all Ford!
Mortske you absolutely did a great job decorating the national lampoon wagon from your friend Rocky from Massachusetts happy holidays
Thanks for watching!

I love my Flexzilla air hoses. My next purchase will be their pressure washer hose.

Love it! Good enough for all the girls we go with! Throw a twin mattress in the back for naps and other possibilities!😉
Haha, good thinking!
The woodwgn the wood wagon. Need to get something on it to bring out the wood grain on the sides
Cub scouts and boy scouts taught kids how to tie more knots than one could remember. Says a friend 😂
Hope you have a very Merry Christmas sir
If you only know one knot then the double half hitch you used to hold the tree onto that sweet ride is a good one to know.
Very nice job.
good deal! the ol double half hitch!
Have a merry Christmas from Missouri
