Tis was only a few weeks ago I was getting my bi-annual fix of that song "smiles all around" and I did pounder to myself "I wonder where they are now?, i guess they moved on......" But alas no! Here you are still grabbling and exploring the meaning of life through song, how lovely. Well, least I digress further, in answer to your question. NO, I don't think I am. When I was 19 I was brainwashed into thinking the only thing I needed to do was make money and get ahead, Bentleys, 50cent, and all that Jazz. Now I realised that we live in a world that distracts children with endless toys and make-believe realities, then once through childhood into your teens, which is pop culture and fashion, so when you are finally of working age you can make money to party hard and buy brands. By the time you get closer to and past 30, its then about linking up with a partner, to then buy a house, reproduce and keeping the same show on repeat. So now, as a man of 40. I look back I can see how society is completely broken and it's all about propping up this broken capitalist system that destroys our planet's ecology and the souls of all the species that live on it. I realise that from the moment people are born they are bombarded with distractions, anything to divert attention from the destruction of the planet, so by the time they have figured it out they are already too embedded/entrenched in the system and to broken down to care or change there live to do anything real about it...So no, I don't have the same goals, If someone at 40 is just caring about making money and getting ahead and nothing else, well, the system won. The only real wealth that we have is that of the planet we have, fresh water, food, nature, ecological diversity, friendships with good people, this kind of thing.
