Sustainability for Coca-Cola: KHS supplies convincing systems for glass, PET and cans

One of the stated objectives of Coca-Cola European Partners is to increase sustainability and energy efficiency in production. Saving electricity, gas, water and materials is therefore a key focus - especially when it comes to selecting the suppliers who are to satisfy these demands. KHS has been able to score on all three types of container in its cooperation with CCEP: the non-returnable PET bottle line in Mönchengladbach, the glass bottle line in Mannheim and the canning line in Karlsruhe are all compelling with their clear savings potential.
The KHS InnoPET Blomax stretch blow molder used on the non-returnable PET line in Mönchengladbach meets requirements regarding the saving of resources, energy efficiency and reducing the carbon footprint. At the Mannheim production site, one piece of plant equipment which is proving convincing is the KHS Innoclean DM washing machine which cleans CCEP’s glass bottles. For the canning system in Karlsruhe an individual line was specially designed for Coca-Cola which makes production highly efficient with the help of a KHS Innopack Kisters SP shrink packer - among other machinery.
Regardless of which container system is called for, Coca-Cola is very pleased with the many options provided by KHS and which greatly help the soft drinks producer to reach its sustainability targets.
