What an incredible parent! Just read the book, Long Ride Home and saw the film, Horse Boy. Phenomenal. Thank you for opening the window on autism.

Helpful to hear Rupert's take on "autism" and correlating hip-movement!. Kids love to run and climb and jump and splash in puddles. This is normal, gleeful child behavior. Other "normal" behavior might be demonstrated in children who wish to be quiet and keep to themselves. Ironically, industrialized schooling keeps young children "moving" from station to station in the classroom by only going 4-5-6 feet to another "activity." Schools, overall, are designed to shut children's natural expression/creativity down, hence, the "troubled" teen, etc.
So glad that Rupert and others see and experience the healing affect of animals, our teachers.

They often break the children and they often break the horses.
