- From my childhood growing up in the subcontinent when I first discovered The Adventures of TINTIN, I became besotted with this intrepid titular character and his faithful dog Snowy. Fast forward to many years later, when Moulinsart decided to produce a collection of 111 of the most notable and remarkable characters from the series created by the inimitable Herge, it became a passionate hobby of mine. Therefore, it gives me the keenest pleasure to be able to share my ever burgeoning collection on this forum with all of the TINTIN aficionados out there............enjoy!

Ha. Like Toy Story, they're just chit chatting and return to the position when you come. Don't know you have Tintin shirts or not, also a good choice to collect and show them as you wear. Hope your collection grow bigger.
@@sethdamurdoc Exactly! Incidentally, I have security cameras installed at various vantage points around my house and thus far no activities have been detected from these chaps. But I’m hoping one of these days.
No, I do not own any TINTIN apparel, but I do have all of the comics and miscellaneous books relating to the titular character.

Thank you for your encouraging and amiable comment. My collection is curated from various sources spanning the globe. Namely, the TinTin boutiques in Quebec, Brussels and Singapore. Also from private sellers on e-bay. Please be forewarned; once you start collecting, you won’t be able to stop! Best of luck to you on your TINTIN quest.
Reza The Nightfly thank you, I have been to chateau de Cheverny in France and have been to the museum there. I spend about €100 there and I saw how much I missed. I looked on the computer and saw how many there were. Had to narrow it down to 4 and it still was $50 AUD. I don’t know how big my collection will be but it is very addictive. 😃
You were quite fortunate to have visited the abovementioned Château de Cheverny, aka Marlinspike Hall. Someday perhaps, I too shall be exploring its fabled quarters .
And yes, as I mentioned before, collecting these TINTIN memorabilia can be positively habit forming, albeit in a good way.

How does one clean the molt fungus off these figurines?
Thank you for your comment. Well, in order to successfully take off any built up fungus without risking damage to the figurines, I would advocate using cotton balls dabbed with Hydrogen Peroxide. Suffice it to say, the key element in this process is to be very gentle when rubbing. Good luck.

Are you Iranian and did you fall in love with these stories by reading Universal Tintins published before the revolution? :)
I wasn't born in Iran per se. However, I have Persian heritage owing to my great grandfather hailing from that region. As for my deep-seated love for TINTIN, it developed quite early when I was in grade school when my father presented me with my first TINTIN book as a birthday gift. It was "The Broken Ear."
Where did u get the figures from?
From varied sources. The bulk of my collection was garnered off of e-bay from multiple sellers scattered around the globe. Also, from the TINTIN Boutiques in Brussels, Canada, Singapore, and France.

hi, are the statuettes detachable from its base?
Hello. As it so happens, they are not. The statuettes are firmly glued to their bases. However, I have witnessed some of them come unstuck after a certain period had elapsed. I surmise it is all dependent upon the degree of cohesion inherent in the adhesive applied at the time of assembly.
