    This thing is going to be a beast!!! Can’t explain how much I’m enjoying this series. I’ve watched so many DIY and How To videos over the years and these would have to be up there with the best. Very detailed while still being easy to follow.
    Can’t wait for episode 3. 👍🏼🤠🎣

    Timmy great build buddy ,one thing I would recommend. I would spray foam all those void spaces under the deck make your boat feel more solid and quite also would help for the flotation. Can’t wait for the first lunch of your new ride! Great job.

    • @FishingWithTimmyTurtle
      @FishingWithTimmyTurtle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so many questions haha yes trailer. and the strake goes most of the way to the front so does give a little bit of a buffer for going up the bank but not like a tinny wouldn't recommend just dragging it up everywhere. all questions will be answered in coming videos mate :)

Luckily I totally missed everything that mattered and it didn't end up being as bad as far as cutting up nerves and stuff like that. It will go deep pretty fucking quick.

  • @OrsunVZ
    @OrsunVZ 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Presumably since Jamie "won't be seen until January" it means the project is ultimately already finished? I can't wait to see the end product. This has inspired me, when my son is a bit older, to do a build like this with him, and for it to be his first boat. I have also been looking at micro-skiffs like the one Jamie built for himself, too. Pipedreams 2 is a bit too wide for some of the areas we get into, would you consider providing plans for that build at some point too?

    • @FishingWithTimmyTurtle
      @FishingWithTimmyTurtle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      at the widest point Jamies and my boat are the same width. pipe dream 2 just doesn't have the front brought in giving mine more volume up front and will be easier to make for someones first boat it becomes a bit trickier to get the shapes of his. he does not own the rights to his plans so cannot sell them. yes boat is already finished and o the water. it gets into tight spots and allows 2 people fit more comfortably on it also but up to you

    What was the final weight of the boat

  • @jefflouis7090
    @jefflouis7090 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Going great Tim. Would it be beneficial to drill a hole in walls and inject that expander foam into front and back sections to improve flotation would also reduce condensation issues too or would that be overkill and too expensive?

    • @FishingWithTimmyTurtle
      @FishingWithTimmyTurtle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      wouldn't help with flotation because it is just adding weight and money. flotation is displacement so it will be fine and would take massive amount of damage to rupture all air tight sections of the boat. also have to be careful some epoxies eat away at the expanding foam so have to check with products you are using. you can do it but not really that important after speaking to Jamie about it

    • @MrM1CHA3L
      @MrM1CHA3L 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeh I'd rather just have the "air bladder" type like this does. Than to have expandafoam. Foam is used in tinnies because it's to expensive to mass produce them with airtight seat boxes for flotation. So just make a semi sealed section and fill her up lol

    • @officialWWM
      @officialWWM 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have to be careful with that expanding foam too, it absorbs water and can quickly become waterlogged!

  • @cuttlefishpie3731
    @cuttlefishpie3731 4 ปีที่แล้ว
