what a great guy, one of my favorite players. Best of luck to him in 2018 but go Yankees!

Cano, I feel betrayed as a Yankee fan. It's seattle problem, but still I feel sad. You never needed roids with your talent, but you got greedy.

Wish he never would’ve left and we wouldn’t be stuck with Jacoby Ellsbury.

He still was a great Yankee much respect to him. The Yankees could've signed him but chose not too.

+Warrior Man they yanks would be in a different place had they signed him instead of Ellsbury and Beltran

+Griff Oliver totally agree I would've signed cano before even thinking about signing Ellsbury.

+Warrior Man Cano could've helped us out in so many ways. But your right him and ellsbury aren't worth that kind of money. Brian Cashman wasn't smart when he signed jacoby ellsbury to that big deal.

Draven BBS Ellsbury was an obvious ownership move, I guarantee Cashman was against that

He was quiet to me personally until about 2011. But than in 2013 with all those injures to the veterans Cano appeared more cocky and swaggy as if he's the captain which was fair but also didn't have to prove anything. For Yankee fans to be like How can you not like Cano? It's because he didn't like and respect us.

Going through these old comments is kinda funny. I never missed him honestly, and now I never will.

As a Mariners fan, he has not been worth the money. They signed him to a team with so many holes, he really only filled one barely.

Right, and no playoffs appearances with him.
Now padres have made the same error with signing Hosmer.

Michael Carranza Padres are a team that's about to start having a lot of young talent come up to the majors going forward. They needed a solid veteran like Hosmer in the clubhouse. It's basically a 5 year deal for 100 mil, nothing like the Cano contract. If things go right for SD, he'll be the solid veteran, similar to Anthony Rizzo for the Cubs, that helps lead a young quality team going forward. Hosmer wasn't a bad move by any means for SD.

You simply cannot replace Cano. Yanks made huge mistake

Griff Oliver I'd agree if it was a 7 year contract, but not 10. Sure it might look bad now but give it a few more years

    • @Th33Vultur3

I agree. A 10 year contract was ridiculous. Just look at ARod. A 7 year contract was perfect. At least Jeter was willing to take a paycut and work with the Yankees to stay. I do miss Cano though. He did win a championship with us in 2009.

Griff Oliver looking at it now I would have given him 10 years

Yeah give a guy 10 year deal just to get suspended 80 games in the 5th year of his contract who’s on the decline and is 35 years old. Yeah Yankees made no mistake here.

Some people gotta get over the bs of ped. In the nfl you get 4 to 6 games for the season and you’ll come back with no backlash, and some people are happy that you come back due to the fantasy game bs. So why baseball players are held differently? Even in the nba no one say anything and their medical bs is worst because the nba don’t let things leak out. So idk why ya continue to shit on mlb players for using if some of the legends were on greenies for years before the mlb band it 🤷🏻‍♂️
