Master Penquin that's the point Smosh was never meant to be a "company"/brand, it was just two guys being silly about Geek Nerd Fandom humor and toliet humor. They never did Political humor or topical humor. The last 2 years the quality of the show has gone down since they brought on the "Smosh crew" ... from 2009 to 2013/14 it was just Ian and Anthony and a few parts time actors hell they drove to get their own lunch and used the Smosh house to do the videos in. What needs to happen is they need to get back to their roots and yes that would mean letting go of few people who are not nessary. Smosh isn't a tv network .... Ian needs to get back control of their creation
Yeah and it's kind of mind-blowing to think that they've had that huge production team behind them for so many years now. Even when it was just pretty much the two of them and sometimes Ian's mom starring in the videos.

I suddenly remembered this video now in mid 2023... daaaamn Smosh changed so much again!! Only the cast remained and expanded, most people behind the scenes are different and also the dynamic between them changed
Even though we all miss old smosh, I still enjoy this new one. They really are trying their best for all of us and Ian seems truly happy to be producing these videos for us. Anthony has left, but we all still love and miss him. He’s also happier now.
I get that we miss them together but sometimes it just doesn’t work. So they had to break apart to get their own enjoyment.

Smosh has always had a place in my heart. My best friend and I would watch you guys all the time back when you first started out and barely had any videos. We even did our own 2007 Food Battle! I haven’t watched you guys for a long time but when I heard the news that Anthony was leaving, it made me tear up. I wish you all the best and it’s so cool seeing how far it’s come!

I've seen that same sad look in people's eyes before. Anthony leaving really did a number on Ian. His jokes in this were forced beyond belief, and just made me uncomfortable. Only a matter of time before he leaves as well. Now that I think about it, that might be best....
