Great update! I love your MOW subway set as well. Brongs back my memories of living in Staten Island!
Your curb and sidewalk look great! Love the storm sewer grate at the edge of the street too. Details… 😀
Great tip on the older kit options. Often Walthers Kits are rebranded KIRBI and Faller kits. I have the Walther's Rivoli Theatre and the plastic walls are stamped KIRBI
Cheers Dan. It wasn't until I looked into it that I realised it was exactly the same kit. The newer one branded as the post office sells over here for around £66 but the older Ford building was £44! The stupid thing is, they actually have a post office sign in the box 😅
Hi Steve, I'm finally catching up with videos after a busy weekend with Dylan. The fencing is looking great, and you've done well finally getting the kit to build your school ... Cheers James 🙂👍
Cheers. I have spoken to my mate Sam who is co-host and producer of the Model Rail Replacement Podcast and asked if he could give Dylan a shout out (they do a TH-cam shout out at the end of each episode). He said he would take a look at the channel. I tell you, your grandson has some talent. At that age I was lucky to build a Superquick kit without getting glue everywhere!
@thebritishrailroader thank you for that Steve, it's really appreciated. Well, I've only been modelling for about five years when I got press ganged into building a model railway for Dylan and have since become hooked on it. So I'm still learning, which means I definitely couldn't have assembled a Superquick or Metcalfe kit ... Cheers James 🙂👍
A nice bit of progress Steve - that school should look great once you've worked out how you're going to do it!
Cheers mate. It is starting to take shape at the front now. The school will take some thinking about but I have a rough plan in mind.
The urban look is definitely coming on. I see Enzo is still outside his store. I think the term for a garage is auto shop. Course, I could be wrong. I very often am.
Mech Models have an open weekend in April with layouts, other, traders etc. I'm hoping it will be the same weekend as the Model World show at the NEC. I'll make a weekend of it and do both.
Are you going to the NMRA meet in October? I'm quite temped to go along.
Dear TBR, beautiful how you did the sidewalks out of hardboard, such a simple way to accomplish this level of street detail! Cool to hear you were invited to the NMRA meet, definitely will consider joining up! Cheerio
Thank you so much for the kind comment
