I cried at the 5 boys on the beach scene 😢 Seed is such a heartfelt song that I cried even tho there were no Eng subtitles. His voice convey all the emotions he wanted to express to us. I get it and I love him so much more now

Inspiration is such a great lounge vibe music. I miss the sounds of the 70s-80s. Nightfall is modern take on synth wave, loving it as it was just not produced purely to mimic retro wave, but having their own spin of it! I was surprised by Shoong, an R'nB take on trap music. Reason is an amazing love song. Seed is the melodic ballad for VIPs (could be used as a Kdrama OST). What an album!

During the radio interview about this album Taeyang said that what he think about the best part of K-POP is 80-90s Korean music, so he wants to combine those with these days music, and create a new sound. So, some of the beats sound like old pops and I love his idea ❤️
He also said that it is was very difficult to decide whether put more instruments into Seed or not because he wrote the song with only piano at first~
This radio broadcast called “Melon station We Spotlight”, it was very good and full of background story about this album. Hope there’s some one can put English subs on so that everyone can listen to his story ☀️

He's definitely ticking my boxes with this album. Showing my age, but the last 3 songs are my favourite. I do love Seed as well, but the last 3 have an older R&B feel that I love. 1)Reason 2) Inspiration 3) Nightfall 4) Seed ..... I'll be adding the whole album to my playlist (along with Vibe that's already there)! I love that Taeyang is back and kicking ass again!!🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
So much of what you said resonated with me. Especially the way u described the feeling of Taeyang wrapping an arm around us. After everything the group has been through and the emotional rollercoaster fans have experienced alongside them, the song feels like a balm.

These songs are all great. They spells Taeyang.
Seed without a doubt is the song of the album.. For me it's song of the year. Taeyang keeps leveling up..
I'm grateful every time read a comment like this since many people thought that Shoong is the title. Some of them even questioning Taeyang's decision about that title song. But as a VIP, I fully understand why Seed was chosen. It definitely represents Taeyang, his feelings, and his type of music. There's something about Seed that Taeyang wants to tell us about, and ofc we have to try to understand. I'm proud of Taeyang, his work, and his decision in choosing Seed as a title song for this album. Let's listen to Seed with all of our heart 🥺💛

I guess it's Team A day for me naturally slipping into all the Taeyang content after watching your Winner video 😌 That naneun naneun naneun is gonna be stuck in my head all day! That puts Reason and Nightfall tied for #2 after Seed. 😍 Also Beenzino is part of Gun-Bang (Military Big Bang) with Taeyang and Daesung. Seed to me is classic Taeyang! In the tradition of This Ain't It and Let Go, its simple, evocative and heartfelt. Its certainly my favourite, followed by Shoong.

Seed is obviously classic Taeyang, the reason why I fell in love with Taeyang. Shoong reminds me of modern art, the melody seems to shoot off at a tangent, ricochet around, stopping to create a beautiful musical sculpture here and there. And the MV is amazing! I like Nightfall's beat and rhythm. I can imagine myself driving down a winding road along a coast with the setting sun. Like you, I love the Vibe live version. I feel both of them sound so much better there. Inspiration and Reason are just not my personal preference. I'm not good at proper music terms, hahaha! I can only describe what the music evokes in me!

And I keep prioritising Seed over Shoong, but seriously, as you so beautifully described it, it's a great track (who cares about technical terms btw 🤷🏽♀️🥰, it's all about the feeling)

He IS a complete artist. I'm also so happy to here for the second innings. Taeyang is glorious and I've never been so captured by an artist. Discovering him has been my greatest music joys. He's such a gift.

Someone commented on the color at the end and I suddenly remembered that the last frame of Still Life turns to black and white. And in Still Still Taeyang seems to be wearing a feathered shirt too. I know Still Life was originally Taeyang's song and it's a good match with Seed, so I wonder if he is referring back to Still Life at the end of this song as a companion or book end?
I listened the album before knowing the seed was the title track, and seed was the song that captured me, and then I saw the lyrics and fell more in love with the song. he really is amazing when he sings this style of Music. my personal preference is always something calmer from him.
