    Hi Fred, since I recently "discovered" you, it's been a pleasure to practice mindfulness, bearing in mind that "I am this" and "I am that", i.e., everything around this unit here, including the unit itself, with or without language. Love to hear you!

      Yes, the freedom is tangible. I woke up an older guy today, older than me, so OLD! LOL Anyway, he was in bed, in pajamas, in the middle of the day, which suggests to me that his health was not great. I had a strong sense that he would not be with us much longer.
      As he woke up, you could see his body react to the weight of the character leaving him. It happened several times, as he got clearer and clearer. Beautiful man, who woke up very clearly after a lot of misfortune and a harrowing search. What a pleasure and honor is was to see him set free from the weight of his own imagination.

    Hi not Fred,
    Been loving your videos.
    Hoping you wouldn't mind some feedback on this one. Assuming not, here goes:
    I know you were sitting with your eyes closed. But around 10:00 or so it started to feel less like a meditation and more like a lecture. Once you started telling us how it was with our 'sense of being' I guess we could either agree or not. Well, for me, I can't seem to relate to the phrase 'sense of being'. Sense of being what? The term I always use is 'awareness'. In that I know there is awareness. And it appears to be in relation to a 'body sense'. That is, I can feel my body's ... energy field? I can sense my limbs, torso, etc. Is one outside the other? I have no idea. And if you tell me how it is, I guess I shrug my shoulders and say "well, if you say so". Awareness doesn't seem localizable. Suppose I got into a really good book. Then there is awareness of the animated story, but any body sense seems to fade far into the background.

      The term "sense of being" really worked for me after reading the Book of Undoing. It clarified what Nisargadatta was talking about when he said "stay in the I Am". Nisar also said "start with the one thing of which you can be sure, I AM". The tterm sense of being just works better for me, and in many cases where we use the term Awareness. Such is the insufficiency of words and their particular meaning to each person. I have now grown comfortable with these terms now, but it took a while.

    No tingling... how exactly to I go outside the body exactly? Didn’t get this at all

    • @FredDavisNonduality
      @FredDavisNonduality  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Forget the tingling. You know you're here, that you exist. Focus on that. Then watch it again.

    I just feel like I'm seeing through everyone/everything/non sentient things. Through their eyes(which a lot don't have) or just being or not actually eyes but awareness. Seeing what our "self" considers growth when really nothing grows because it is and always was and always will be but I've been living believing this physical mass I am encumbered in defines me same with everymental thing in this brain of "mine" Just the beam of light or whatever that starts everything and seems to be everything. Like putting gas in a car to keep it going. To bad it's not magnified X 100 and constant.

    • @FredDavisNonduality
      @FredDavisNonduality  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +reeeisrubber Check to see if you're really encumbered by a body. That's not my experience. You're not contained in the body, the body is contained in you.

    HI Fred, I can't seem to feel the sense of being. I have tried lot's of meditation and breathing exercises but i get a complete bank-nothing.

    • @FredDavisNonduality
      @FredDavisNonduality  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If I put you in a sensory deprivation tank, where you're getting no input from your senses, wouldn't you still KNOW that you're alive? How would you KNOW? Wouldn't there be a FEELING of aliveness? This KNOWING-FEELING that you cannot fail to have this very moment as you're reading these words is that sense of being, that knowing that you're present, that you're here.

    • @786jc
      @786jc 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I have many many thoughts and often can not stop them but get lost in them. These thoughts are the only thing that tells me I'm alive. Even for medical examinations I find it impossible to talk bout how my body feels. I've thought about your sensory deprivation tank without success. Can you explain it in another way?

      Come to satsang. I only do quick pointers here, and usually give those only once. Unlimited voices call out for the unit's limited attention--even though I am unlimited.

    You say, if I understand correctly, that Being is not aware of all the things playing out in the myriad universes (perspectives)...that it can only be aware of itself. If nothing can happen outside of Being (Awareness), isn't it, by definition, aware of these universes...even if it's just one big collective dream?
    From a slightly more practical perspective, Awareness seems to be orchestrating everything so it must be aware of how things are playing out?

    • @FredDavisNonduality
      @FredDavisNonduality  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Which Being are you talking about that is unaware of an imaginary "other"?
      Who wrote that comment?
      Who wrote this one?

    Ocillating less these days. I think the mind begins with many occilations, the ocillations of emotions, judgements, thoughts etc. Ta Hui called it all mind's discriminating consciousness. It is the ever judgemental mind, always in flux in a state of confusion. I think and hope the ocillation between dream state and clear is the last ocillation, then abiding. I think that is why it costs four hundred bucks lol
