Why do the characters crouch in NSMBU when they can’t exit the level? It makes it look like they’re crying because they realize that they’re stuck for eternity or something
Probably the same reason that Bowser fireballs are backwards looking in SMB1 (both the original and SMM). It's just to irritate those who notice.

Other than the obvious extra features, the only CRITICAL feature Nintendo needs to implement in MM3 is an improved judging system that either removes garbage levels from runs or entirely from play. It's genuinely the only reason why players get annoyed and fed up just trying to play a fun game.

Note: I don't judge if level is hard or well made. I simply check if creator added or used something not necessarily hidden that was meant to make the level easier for him or harder for the player. This is the only factor I check when rating if level is fair or not.

Absolutely skip pixel perfect levels. As someone who makes bad levels on purpose, I think the boo button does actually prevent Nintendo from recommending your levels to people.
Why make terrible levels on purpose?
@@danielkirienko1701 I try to innovate in the space of hot garbage. I look at the bad levels people make, and then come up with ways to make them worse.
For example, I think: what are people really trying to accomplish by putting pick-a-door into their levels? They want to force the player to guess something at random, and kill them if they get it wrong. That's great, but you only get four doors per overworld/subworld. How can I give them more choices? Moreover, the player learns something after they pick a door incorrectly. Can I make it so the player doesn't learn anything?
In exploring these ideas, I found a way to make the player choose between 256 different possibilities, where 255 of them kill you, and you only learn which one is correct after you guess the correct one.
Some people just want to watch the whole world burn
