Karen, did you spy on my hours when i watch gunsmoke?!! Yes, we do enjoy them. Doc, kitty, matt, chester, festus, sam, louie, clint, the gen. Store guy.......did i leave anyone out?
@@muffs55mercury61 ive seen almost all of them. Chester gets all gushy when he meets a woman.matt was lucky to have a guy like chester working for him.
USA VETERAN, First of all thank you for your service, I agree completely, I watch Gunsmoke everyday on my playlist, Black and white episodes preferably.
For all we know she may be walking about Heaven's version of Dodge city circa 1876, a young lady of 17 years of age with all those same characters inhabiting the town. May she RIP.
I agree... the first several seasons were great, better, in my opinion, than the later color episodes. But, as you noted, all classics we can enjoy to this day.
@@drm9979 i think Gunsmoke actually did a reasonably good job holding your attention for sixty minutes when it made that switch. That said, I do think there were scenes from those hour-long episodes that seemed to be "fillers" more than anything and not necessary to the plot. My reasons for liking the earlier shows was the inclusion of Dennis Weaver... I loved his portrayal of Chester... and the facf that I just never got used to it being in color.
**Marshal Dillon** Was The Marshal Of Marshals!!!!! Stern, Bold, Concrete, And A Firm Man Of Disciplinary Integrity!!!!! **Matt Dillon** Did Not Play!!!!! He Was All About **Justice** And The **Western Way** Of. dealing With It!!!!!
If Dodge City was Mayberry this would be it. Love those old scenes where Doc, Chester and Matt would "harang" each other. Fans check out the opening episode entitled "Texas Cowboys".
Also the actor who played Cole...Ainsley Pryor passes away at a young age a couple of years after this episode aired. He was from Memphis. Tn just like me.
I will always see the original characters of Gunsmoke from the original radio cast with William Conrad, Parley Baer, Howard McNear and Georgia Ellis even though I only heard them on radio before the later television show.

I'm enjoying retirement!! I get to watch Gun Smoke 6 times a day. Then at night I watch it 4 times!! Life is soooooooo good!
Same here.
Same here also. Just can't seem to get enough of these great people.
Watching it right now
Same here Karen. I have the early years on dvd and selected ones after that.

I agree these black and white episodes were the best. They'll never be another show like it!
I agree 100th per cent. The best.
Watched gunsmoke for 20 years and can keep watching it love all the actors 🤠❤️
If you haven't already try listening to it on old time radio you'll have to use your imagination but it's great
Yep, me too. They are the best!
Agree! Best western tv show ever. Actors wonderful!!
The first six years were the best. Matt took no gruff whatsoever
These black and white episodes of Gunsmoke are truly priceless.
The young MATT DILLON episodes are the very best.
"You'll hang for it" and
" get out of dodge"

@@thomaspetty345 “HOLD IT “”. One of his favorite sayings.
@@joannqueen176 I definitely agree, "HOLD IT!" No one could say that like Matt Dillon.
Best show ever , Best actors...Unreplaceable...
USA VETERAN, First of all thank you for your service, I agree completely, I watch Gunsmoke everyday on my playlist, Black and white episodes preferably.
The word is irreplaceable.
Gunsmoke's best scenes were the main characters interacting with each other with wit and humor.
It's like a Western Seinfeld.
I grew up watching Gunsmoke with my Granny. Best years of my life. May the cast rest in peace...along with Granny.
I watched Gunsmoke when i was a kid with my late father who passed in 1972 and I watch with my mother now.
For all we know she may be walking about Heaven's version of Dodge city circa 1876, a young lady of 17 years of age with all those same characters inhabiting the town. May she RIP.
Best TV western ever.
Kitty had the best hats🔥
I just love that show!!!
one thing people can say it is hard to get tired gunsmk the early years.make u never feel tired of watching them
Kitty may have known a lot of men but she showed over and over again throughout the series that Matt was her one and only man.
A good woman is hard to find. And if you do you might take her for granted with consequent regrets
@@emansnas absolutely 100% correct.
We watched some good shows for 60years or so..some a very long time..some we won't watch now..for various reasons..but this one we still do..
I still love Festus, he was the Best.
Still watch Gunsmoke. Loved it as a kid and I guess now I'm a very old kid! I liked the 30 minute original shows a bit better but they were all great!
Me too
I agree... the first several seasons were great, better, in my opinion, than the later color episodes. But, as you noted, all classics we can enjoy to this day.
I agree, 60 minutes is just too long to tell the story. the 30 minute episodes are the best. this video was from one of them.

30 mins to tell a story. Perfect. Hour shows have tendency to drag at times, even this show.
Love gunsmoke , allways will., could watch 24 / 7 .
Watch out for that back-hand !!
If Dodge City was Mayberry this would be it. Love those old scenes where Doc, Chester and Matt would "harang" each other. Fans check out the opening episode entitled "Texas Cowboys".
Larry Hawkins how about if Mayberry was Dodge City would it look like this
i probably saw em all,i'm 68 grew up with all the tv westerns, remember them all not a chance
Makes seem younger, just for a few minutes
"Kitty knows a lot of men". Matt never wanted a relationship, wouldn't work, because he did 24/7. and because Kitty knew a lot of men.
And she knew a lot of women
@@jessicaeasley5828 Thank you.
When I die, and that’s gonna happen soon, I’m going to GunSmoke heaven.
Season 3 episode 4 Kitty’s Outlaw. I used to watch these with my dad, along with The Rifleman and Sugarfoot. My dad loved westerns.
Matt looking at her smiling...lol!
And that is saying I love you to kitty
I Love me some Gun Smoke 😀
I always watch gunsmoke with my grandma,in spirit ,she is dead, but now her spirit doesn't come cause you won't play gunsmoke
The best series, ever💕

The show replaces Dennis Weaver with Ken Curtis & didn’t miss a beat; Burt Reynolds’s helped
Matt usually has Miss Kitty for dessert instead of supper. 🍨🍰
Ruta Lee was his supper. He just didn’t want to tell Kitty
Dang, all Ms. Kitty was doing was talking to another man😂😂😂
whats the other episode listed under? I looked under kitty's outlaw, and couldn't fine anything...
I’ve seen them all love gun smoke
So do I
Mr Dillan
U. S .A . VETRIAN , GOOD START to a reply. To Kitty's love of Matt dillons ex love . Will Dillon let go .to all yes yes an yes.

Hahahahaha
Yeah
ever wonder how Chester gets his boots on?
Best show on TV.
"Chester, why don't you shut up!" I'd love ❤️ Matt to say that......
At 2:26: Did Matt spit over his shoulder? Don't tell me Matt Dillon "chawed tabacky" in his younger days.
he was probably spitting out some of that stem he had in his mouth
...wishin' it was a red crotch hair from you know who!

I believe he had a straw in his mouth and that's what he spit out, not tobacco.

don't like chester but I love Festus
