    If I have been under the care of a doctor/ Surgeon that’s doing my sleeve surgery. Can I switch to a different doctor with a completely different office and would I loose my months I’ve already been waiting for insurance purpose. I’m just not feeling comfortable with this doctor and his bedside manner. But I don’t want to loose my time I’ve already waited so far. ...

    I was diagnosed with the beginning of AIH with no other issues would I still be able to get sleeved ? I’m waiting anxiously for my doctor to give me clearance and I’m terrified he’ll say no.

    Thank you for doing this. I'm 68, BMI 40 with health conditions that have made me a potential candidate for gastric sleeve. I have researched this and wonder about having CKD 3rd stage. Will that cause complications.

    Can you point me in the direction of help? Long story as short as possible. Had bypass in 2008. I went from 260 to 154. I fluctuated up and down 30lbs for years. I had my first/only child a little over 3yrs ago. I now CANNOT gain weight. I dieted to drop the baby weight (I was 215 at delivery) and can't stop losing weight. I am now 135 and 5ft 8in. I'm out of vitamin storages B-12, Iron, and very low Vit D. I've gotten infusions, shots and still can't up the vitamin levels or feel hunger. I'm totally turned off by food and never feel hungry? I've seen specialists many times. No one cares cause it's a "privilege" to be thin. I have a kid to raise, Im 37 and I am fading away. Please someone help me figure out why I can't eat (gets stuck then I puke)or totally grossed out by food. It's anorexia but NOT anorexia nervosa. I want and need to eat anyone have this issue and if so please help me?? 🙏✌️❤️

    I disagree with the fact that you cant eat out or you will fail. If you deal with your eating disorder before hand you wont be triggered 🤨 you also wouldnt be switching vices if you had eating disorder treatment before surgery.

    It's annoying when people assume fat people don't know what to eat or cook. When I go to McDonald's, I'm not triggered into eating everything on the menu. That comment and others is stupid and patronizing.

    So what if you start exercising smart and hard and follow healthy eating habits instead of bariatric surgery?

    • @jodiavendano9409
      @jodiavendano9409 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I've been overweight most of my life and when I exercise and eat smart in order to keep off the 100 pounds I lose, I need to only eat 500 calories per day and exercise at the gym 3 hours per day. This was very hard for me to keep up with. When you look at other people who can eat normally and just have a simple 20 min walk as there exercise and they stay looking great and are very healthy with all their bloodwork looking amazing is when you wonder what's wrong with you! At my first info seminar for Bariatric surgery the first thing the Dr. asked us was " why do you think all your diets fail" everyone yells out because I don't have the willpower or I ran out of willpower. Then he asked us so what about your friend, acquaintance, relative or co-worker who goes to the all you can eat Buffett and loads their plate like a mountain and goes up for 2nds and 3rds??? That's my husband and most of my family. Yet, if I want to stay at a normal weight like them, one buffet visit of just going once and putting a good meat portion, piece of bread(no butter), portion of veggies and a small piece of cake for dessert. Only going Once, I'm up 3 pounds the next day! It's so hard to have children's portion every single day! Nothing tasty, no desserts and finally you get so hungry after a month of that, you go crazy one day and start eating everything you can get your hands on! You feel guilty the next day. Try not to do it again and get back on the diet just to mess up a few days later! The Dr. at the seminar said some people can just eat and be healthy and then there is US! That's why surgery is needed and it took me 47 years to realize that!! Even when this surgery first came out, I'm like if I could just diet and exercise I don't need that!

      what are your sources?

    • @deno9607
      @deno9607 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because they arent treating their ed beforehand so they go right back to their old vices. They value weight and social standards over health so there baseline diet doesnt include "health" foods.

    • @ernestoberger7589
      @ernestoberger7589 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@deno9607, I find this language truly insulting. What does this mean? Obese people are not educated about food? I would say that obese people know a lot more about food than thin people, simply because they have tried all the diets available. Is there any fat person who thinks that a pint of ice cream and a pack of Oreos are healthier than a grilled skinless chicken and some vegetables?
      The surgery is a radical procedure, If one can make progress by "ed", then they shouldn't subscribe for a lifetime of vitamin shots and all the risk this surgery involves.
