- The intro to this one although much better than the previous ones. The game is totally distanced from the previous ones with none of the existing characters returning from the previous game with the exception of Eiji as a hidden character.
Eiji Shinjo, the new leader of an organization called the "Gerard Foundation", has organized a fourth Toshinden tournament which revolves around the gathering of four holy weapons that can be used to save the world or to destroy it. However, Eiji's old enemy from the third tournament ten years ago, Vermillion, is also after the four weapons. Can Eiji stop Vermillion before it's too late?
Memories of playing this as a kid with my cousin in my Grandmas Eastern European concrete block apartment.
I wish do a remake to the whole franchise I believe it will blow up.

I Miss These 90's Intros. The music was so fantastic.
this game was like a 5/10 (or well I can't remember that well because I was young), but this intro is a 10/10 for sure brings back good memories.
This was my favorite ps1 fighter along with final bout. I can't believe it used to look like this 😂😂
@Shadley Ebrahim Both terrible fighting games that deserve remakes imo to make them better. I almost ended up getting final bout back in the day too lol

The game has really nice music, too.
You know, I realized that Time Attack mode is actually Arcade Mode. Too bad there isn’t a Single Story Mode. All in all, this KOF-esque final instalment is quite good. I wish there was a Toshinden 5 on PS2 or for there to be a Toshinden R (the R stands for Reboot) on PS5 which should happen because we’ve barely seen anything of it for nearly two decades.
And that opening movie is the best of all the intros of the Toshinden series. That anime opening is pure awesome. Oh and Naru Amoh (Toshinden 4) is a Fate Testarossa ripoff before she existed, (5 years to be precise) though not really. Eiji kinda reminds me of Kakashi Hatake.
I think with today's graphics and the right voice actors a remake of this series would be absolutely fantastic and it might even inspire a full anime
There was a BAT4???? Thought this series ended with 3. I still have all 3.

Yeah - and Puella Marionette was the daughter of the sub-boss of BAT2, Lady Uranus. That's why she has the Bow of Suzaku. However, the Bow should have gone to either Ellis or her older brother, as the Bow did belong to Ellis's mother. Lady Uranus had her murdered in a staged car crash to obtain the magical bow for herself and almost wiped out her (then) boss. Gaia and Ellis survived the crash (Ellis was just a baby), but sadly Ellis's big brother died alongside his mother.
I always though i had toshinden 4 but i always remember like an opening movie with an old guy in a small boat or something if you know what im talking about please let me know its literally been bugging me for almost 15 years now thanks

I figured it out, it was absolutely toshinden 4 the cover i had but the game was soul edge, i only remember that now because of voldo, the game came out a year before i was born. But i have no clue how i ended up with soul edge in a toshinden case

Intro is great but the game ..... well BAT part 1 was the best one from 1995
Toshinden 3 is the Best one and the most Fun one to play

Even Street Fiughter couldn't get away with jettisoning most of the pre-existing roster for 3, and THOSE characters at least looked interesting. This looks like some shit that would have been consigned to most anime artists' bins for how uninspired they all look.
