- Happy New Year! We are so grateful for all of you! This was filmed right before Christmas but was delayed because we both got sick! I don't think I've ever seen Jack as happy as he was when he saw the snow for the first time!

I'm realize I am watching your son grow up more than my own grandchildren, only because my daughter is too busy to make room for long distance visits. It's such a joy seeing your family. Jack is so cute and loving every minute with his Mom, Dad, grandparents and aunt and uncle. I love my home in Massachusetts. I hope to travel again someday. Enjoy everything that you do. Same here. My kids and grandkids live in Texas and I live in Oklahoma. Both my sons work 6 days a week and I don’t drive anymore due to my disability. I would especially like to see the youngest one. I saw her right after she was born and again when she was one. She is 3 now. The older ones I got to see a lot before I moved back to Oklahoma from Texas due to my mom’s failing health. She is 84.

Our kids are 25, 21 and 14 and we always open since the very beginning one gift each on Christmas Eve. It's a great tradition
Getting cappuccinos and driving around looking at Christmas lights and listening to Christmas music on Christmas Eve was my husband’s and my Christmas tradition. We’d rate the lights from Overkill (too much) to Christmas Magic (perfect)! I lost him in March 2019, and that’s the part of Christmas I miss the most.

My husband and I always did the same thing. Just like you it's one of the things we did at Christmas. I lost him in 2018😢 I completely understand what you are going through. Some people don't get it.
I've always thought I knew how someone felt about losing their true love (forever)......Now I know, you think you know, but you really don't until it happens to you!!
Some say it's been a few years get over it........If I hear that again I don't know if I'll scream or pull my hair out (honestly probably both)!

I remember are 25 year olds first Christmas we spoiled her along with the rest of the family and the only thing that she wanted was to play in the big boxes she didn't give a crap about any of her toys. So to all new parents just go by big boxes and wrap them it will save you a ton of money and they will be more than happy
My family always does a Christmas Eve box...and yes, it is usually pj's, a mpvie or game, some popcorn, and some movie theatre size candy. The kids look forward to it every year, even though they know what it is.

I love how when they are opening presents, Ozzy gets a present from under the tree and hands it to tanner, and he is like, "Oh no we're not opening, its not Christmas yet, you have to wait few more days." Aww! Poor Ozzy! I understand that feeling girl! Happy New Years! Love you guys! (btw all that happen at 15:29)
Hopefully this will become a tradition as they are family and having these Christmas Eves together and no one is told no over a simple pre gift which truly does release tons of stress for the children especially as they begin to get old enough to become distracted and fully engage with what was allowed to be open. Lots of good sleep on Christmas Eve and satisfying feelings just as it should be.

Jack is adorable in this snowsuit. He loves the snow at his age. We had a place called "Candy Cane Lane" in San Diego, CA where you could go see Christmas lights. The decorations on these homes were on an amazing level. We also have the same tradition to open one 🎁 on Christmas Eve. You guys get some rest so you can have enough energy to keep up with Jack. But remember..... Jack needs a wonderful little sibling sooner rather than later. Endometriosis can really put a wrench in your family planning. Totally agree!! It truly takes away the overindulgence of not just too many presents for one but sensory overload! Especially with big family’s all opening all morning. That one present the night before was always a small token of what was to come but so very appreciated and loved. Makes it so much easier to go to sleep thinking Santa’s coming in the night! Makes the mind much more calm.
I also suggest a small present to open on a night before a birthday party where a lot of family and friends will be present and observing. Too much at once makes things over the top basically and I got one remember the ones I received the nights before Christmas more than anything else I got! Even if it was just a new coloring book! It took the edge off.

Jack was so happy in the snow... a little overwhelmed with the RV, but probably had no idea why or where they were going. I actually hate the displays on the houses. It I have to go, I just put my head in my hand and get through it, but I want to scream like Jack. It's the introverted part of me. Can't stand chaos, or lots of lights, or lots of stimulation. I'm reading a good book about it called, "Quiet" 'The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking.' No one imagines I have this side to me, so it was hard for me, even, to recognize it. The world is a choatic place. You are a step ahead if you recognize this part of your kid early. We had a white Christmas here in So. Oregon too. Same storm, I think. Happy New Year.
It’s definitely a good tradition! My family always make Santa’s cookies Christmas Eve, our kids open one present, and then my husband and I exchange our presents when the kids go to bed so Christmas morning is all about them. Then we go to our different families houses and do Christmas with them. We have so much fun. You guys are doing an awesome job!

My family opens two presents on christmas eve because they are always pajamas and socks to wear the next morning. It is from one certain aunt. Its a great tradition and very fun. I hope you have a good christmas

Got 22inches of snow, my dad told me to clean off the car. Just giving me something to do really. Well, I cleaned off the one that was broke down! Lol
