Danm you have to go through all that just to swap your HD or RAM nowadays? I'm glad my old laptop still works. This is Apple-level difficulty to service.
I replaced the thermal paste since the laptop is about 10 years old now it hasn’t been used that often since around 2018 though I’m curious if I should spread thermal paste on the entirety of the copper plate instead of just putting a dot on the cpu and gpu because it seemed like the manufacturer did so
I have the same model , but for some reason it dosent want to charge anymore the only thing that turns on is the little orange light in the front please help
Hey there, i was hoping you might be able to help me since the amazon seller wont respond. I have a lenovo ideapad 110-15acl type 80TJ and i just installed a screen replacement. Using a flashlight i can see that the screen is displaying properly, but the backlight doesnt work. Is there anything i can do about this?

It is called a thermal paste and it is used to fill the gap between the heating element (cpu, gpu ...etc) and the heatsink or cooler for a more efficient heat transfer.

Hola! Saludos!
my problem's the screws on the laptop themselves, their bolted so tightly it doesn't matter how hard I turn the screwdriver. I thought maybe there was some way to get them off without damaging my laptop in the process
My Lenovo is like yours. I have taken it apart to replace the coverl. The Intel Model 3165NGW has two wires connected to it. The black one goes to the screen but the white one with the sticky tape I do not know where it goes. Please help.
Time times yes and no, it will keep the system from thermal throttling, which doesn’t necessarily make it faster, it just prevents it from getting slower

There are devices that you should removed the actual chip for reflashing instead of externally performing the reflashing with the chip still onboard as the security hardwares (i.e. TPM) messes up the reflashing process.
I have the same problem, spilled coke on it but it worked perfectly for like 2weeks after that, than all off a sudden it doesn't get past the Lenovo sign loading on screen just goes black after that... But finally now know it is the motherboard that got screwed but hard drive and ram is all safe. Just struggling to buy the ryt motherboard for my laptop now. Will recommend you first try the recovery for your laptop before jumping to conclusions you can check some videos on TH-cam on how to do that, but if it doesn't work the laptop has to be opened. Good luck

Can the processor of this laptop be changed?

Whats the bare minimum you have to remove just to get to the RAM and HDD?
I don't need to remove keyboard/ODD?
You need to remove the keybord to unplug the battery otherwise you cant open it
You can skip the blue flex that he removes whit the baterry cable. Just pull of the battery cable
so I guess to replace the fan there is no need to remove the keyboard right?
There're few screws underneath the keyboard holding the backpart. a disaster of a design!!

Try to heat up the screws with a welding tool, that will loose the screw and you will be able to remove it
Thanks
