😊 The thing I miss most about the Philippines is that you don't feel isolated. You always have someone to talk to when need something, be it family, friend, or acquaintance. IDK. Even now, my mindset is like, if I have the capability to help you, I will. It may be the strongest aspect of my culture other than the respect and care for elders.
Hola Brian, I am Spanish and I have just retired at 60 years old. I will probably travel to the Philippines for a few months and if I like it, I will move there. Thanks for your videos. ❤❤❤
BGC is really a great place to live for those suited for it. It is hard to beat for variety and convenience. You may want to venture out of it though just to expand your understanding of what the country and its people are all about. While BGC is lovely, it does not represent the typical Filipino experience.
When pinoys need to escape the crime committed by cops in Caloocan, BGC is the place to go. 😂 But Caloocan is where BGC folks go when they need real, authentic Pilipino street food. Thanks for the vid, Brian!
Maybe now but Clark City in Clarkfield, Pampanga will surpass BGC in terms of land area and convenience. Also, the Bay Area of Manila Bay as a reclaimed Manila Bay will surpass Singapore in the future.
A proper city must have: a church a school, a hospital, business, government agencies , a police station ...if BGC is comprised of those entities, then it actually can be registered a proper, official city. BGC eventually be declared a proper legitimate city, whether people like it or not. It will expand and expand literally , taking over large pieces of land including parcels of land occupied by squatters. Of course they will be relocated sooner or later. Hectares of land up and down the country have been bought and developed. In fact, officially, the Philippines has already been officially declared an Industrialised country ten years ago along with some other ASEAN Members.
Feeling nostalgic about America? BGC, formerly Fort McKinley, flew the American flag and played the Star Spangled banner from 1902 to 1946. I believe they still do that daily at the American cemetery next door and the US embassy just a taxi away. :).. yes those things are there too.
Why don’t you cross the road at the end of SM Aura and instantly enter a whole different world? For me that shows one of the greatest contrasts in living standards anywhere in the world. BGC is definitely a bubble in a good way. I plan to spend time there when we retire in a couple of years, spending time between our place in Quezon City and BGC. Having spent a fair bit of time there, I know it is the best place to base ourselves. The real philippines can be for a foreigner somewhat overwhelming and BGC provides an amazing refuge.
City or not, just enjoy the ride the Philippine offer thst fits your taste. Some want to live in the cave. We ,want to go where enchants us. The place, the people, the food and the good vibes thst is in there.
BGC is a label or name given by the developer of the particular area they developed after thorough and meticulous planning. Just like Eastwood City in Quezon City. The name or label is no big deal, why questioned it,. Let it be.
BGC and other developed enclaves are too 'sanitized' for me and feels very artificial. For me, Marikina City is still the best. It is a real city that is clean and livable. It also has a very rich history, culture with vibrant communities.
I don’t get it. We have been to BGC a few times & even stayed over. I honestly didn't see any advantages being there compared to Makati, SM Auroa Taguig, Nuvali, Tagaytay, One Ayala, Manila Bay Ayala, Newport Resort World or Okada. We live in the Philippines.
MetroManila is made up of 13 cities. The city of Manila is the oldest. If you have the time to go out of BGC, will you also feature the best part in every city? That will be interesting too.
BGC is real and an existing city in the Philippines, just like makati city, aseana city, eastwood city, ortigas city, Greenfield district, eastwood city, alabang city, araneta city etc. These cities exist and they are representing the real Philippines, how can you call them not real Philippines if they are alot of these cities already existing in the country?
@Maria x617r It is not a "bubble". Yes, it's also a business district and surrounded with many skyscrapers, hotels, restaurants, condos and malls (not only palm trees 🤪). Not to mention the version of Grand Canal of Venice, Italy. I'd bet you have not been to the Philippines. The way you described the BGC is like an ordinary place. You even did not include the many high rise buildings, etc. etc. Do some research first before you make a comment about BGC. Madame, why would you say and I quote, "Why do you Sugar Coat BGC on every video"? The vlogger is not sugar coating, he is telling the fact about the BGC. Are you jealous of something? OH BTW, where are you from?
The C says City but technically it is a land development within Taguig City. I am just curious, were there friends and families that were convinced to relocate to BGC?
If B.G.C. is NOT a city, then what does that "C" stand for? 🤯
The Truman show city according to the envy neighboring countries
Its like Eastwood City: technically not a city, like a mini-MOA.
In the eyes of envy neighboring countries and some foreigners Philippines is slums and dirty Manila. 😂😂😂😂
Community. “Bonifacio Global Community.” 😊
Whether it's a city or not, IT'S THE BEST. That's the most important. The BEST CITY or the BEST "not a city" IN THE WORLD. 😊

We’re neighbors! We’re from the U S of A also. Saw you one day by the lobby and was surprised that you live here! Following you 😊

Brian, miserable haters get triggered by someone else's success & happiness. Your happiness is contagious hence the rapid growth of this channel.
Good sense of humor😊👍
A great City within a City ❤
Go for it Brian!
Keep up the great work Brian! God bless you bro. Ignore the trolls they hate you because they ain’t you!
You are right Mr Brian!
BGC is not a city, part of many beautiful classy, more social areas of Taguig City.👍
BGC is Rocking 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
When pinoys need to escape the crime committed by cops in Caloocan, BGC is the place to go. 😂 But Caloocan is where BGC folks go when they need real, authentic Pilipino street food. Thanks for the vid, Brian!

I have been to LA, Las Vegas, and San Francisco and after a week ohkey I'm going back to manila asap i miss my country 😂
Why? (I’m neither from USA or Philippines.)
BGC is like creating your ideal lego town and discarding all the pieces to the outside since they don't fit in.
I've checked the many cities people call as best city but so far nothing beats BGC as the BEST CITY or BEST "not a city" IN THE WORLD. 😊
Mckinley is also part of Taguig City, classy, also more social, it feels like you are sailing in Venice..❤

There is church inside bgc. It has all of those. The Philippines was already declared the Tiger of Asia in the early 90's.
BGC is technically a city, it is part of Taguig city.
Much envy B . Always enjoy your take on Life…..

Maybe someone misspelled Kitty with “City”. The fact there are so many stray cats wandering around hints on the possibility 😊.
Such a sarcastic remark from you. It is BGC not BGK. Alright?
I love you videos living your best life everything you say is the truth about the US

BGC is a city-like inside the city. Like Star City 😅 it's not a city but amusement park 😊
@radztv No, it's not an amusement park. Have you seen an amusement park with many skyscrapers, etc. etc. etc.?😇
@marijolivitzky4336 star acity is the amusement park
A city within a city
SM has a lot of "cities" too. 😁😁😁
❤❤❤
Bonifacio Garden City
Nope. It is Bonifacio Global City. The developer is responsible for naming that as a city part of Taguig.
MetroManila is made up of 13 cities. The city of Manila is the oldest. If you have the time to go out of BGC, will you also feature the best part in every city? That will be interesting too.

The nightmare starts when you loose control of what you wanted. You will wake up and ask yourself..WHAT IS NEW? IM FULL. WHAT ELSE?
🎉😊👍🦁
Wake up..rind a wife..buy a home..have a family. Then a new adventure begins.
Do you plan to vote as an absentee voter? Or do you even care?
I believe he said he was going to send his vote in.
@@IShowTravels I guess I missed that. Thanks!
Why do you Sugar Coat BGC on every video? It’s simply a bubble, a business district, you should know that , surrounded by palm trees ? Get real
