I totally agree with you on the legs I definitely would not have trusted them so it was a wise choice to stick with your instincts plus the new legs you used actually suited better any way I think. The monitor shelf that you used was also a really simple yet effective touch it just made the desk stand out more as more of a center console really nicely done. Once again I am complementing your lighting layout because the lines with the Govee lights look absolutely amazing so job well done there too. The flowers around the computer helped a lot as well. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more videos like this :D

@@astronuggie I am on amazon right now looking at monitor shelves I am just not sure if it would look ok on my desk as I have 2 x 34 inch curved monitors hmmm (Another idea of yours I am stealing haha)

I have the olov ikea legs on my desk and also use a solid wood countertop as the desktop! And I have an iMac, so all the weight is on the back of the desk. I did 5 legs like you did, and it's been incredibly stable!! No wobble at all, like I have to really force it to get the desk to shake even a little bit.
Really?! Have you ever noticed that they slide down overtime? I read some reviews and it freaked me out. Then when I disassembled it two of them were loose :/ I'm glad they work for you!! I just can't sleep at night with them on 😂
@@astronuggie I have them at the lowest possible height, because I'm a hobbit, so maybe that is why? But they're super solid and it's nice that they're adjustable as I have uneven flooring.

Hi! Nice video! Curious about the wall from your previous setup/apartment with the 3dpanels. Did the different tape end up damaging the wall?

so for the panels (and now for everything else, including my nanoleaf lines and the govee glides i currently have up) i've been strictly using velcro 3mm tape and find that no matter what it doesn't damage the wall! i won't use anything else now, the velcro does a great job of holding things up without ruining walls. for the panels i cut them up really skinny and just placed the tiny piece in the direct center of the panel!

I love your intro with the password log in. How did you create it?
Super simple, made it Indesign - it's made up of a few images and I just made each one have one more dot for the password, then I put each image into premiere pro and added sound effects!

Nice setup, I do have a question about the position of your ultrawide, does it hurt your neck having to look up at the screen or is it sorta comfortable for the height?
Thank you! So the way I have it right now I definitely have to look up a bit cus I'm only 5'3.5" with a short torso. when I didn't have the riser it was the perfect height. I'm getting this new adjustable stand for my portable that will allow me to hang the monitor off the riser a bit so my ultra wide can come down a notch, which I think will help. It definitely doesn't hurt cus it's nothing drastic, but there is a difference in how it feels compared to my old setup

I liked the setup of your monitors because it simply looked nice, but I was curious about the ergonomics. As long as I don't use a riser than I think my neck won't snap during an intense gaming session. Thank you again!
Without a riser would be perfect! I only had to use my eyes to look around both monitors before this one. Good luck!
I have a question. There were a few instances where you've commented on here saying that you're short. I'm 5'4 myself and I was wondering about the head tilt by having a portable monitor being underneath the main monitor. Do you have to tilt your head upwards? In your chair? Cause I tend to sit on my chair low and my arms resting ontop of the table top and if I were to add a secondary monitor underneath, I'd have to tilt my head upwards to look at my primary monitor.
i'm half an inch shorter than you! before i had the monitor stand it was the perfect height, but since the grovemade i definitely have to angle my head a bit higher. my partner found this specific stand made for phones that he uses for his portable monitor, and it allows him to hang his portable off of the monitor stand to give him about 2 inches so that the big monitor can come down more. i'm going to try and get this one day and see if that helps me! if you have your portable on your desk and not on a big riser like me it's totally fine!
i'm the exact same with how i sit, i just force myself to sit completely upright with good posture - or i try to only use my eyes and not my whole head to look at things xD

@@astronuggie thx appreciate it! just finished setting up my innocn 40" ultrawide...I like trying these new smaller company items as sometimes they are hidden gems and your not paying for a big name! ...so far I love it...it flat panel tho so need to get used to it coming from a 34 curved ultra wide
Do you know if I would need a support leg for a 55 1/8 × 23 inch desk top??
Hmm you should be fine for that size, maybe put the legs in a tiny bit instead of completely at the edge of each corner. I'd say anything over like 65" would need a support!

it depends! this one i was forced to change it since we moved and i can't put too many things on the wall v_v at my old apartment i did it every few months. i receive a lot of new things plus i get bored really easily hahah since i work from home i need to change up my space or else i start to go crazy staring at the same thing for so long 😂
