I see some British a bit jealous over the SEABEES. Let's set the record straight. Winston Churchill dreamed up the mulberry Bridges in his bath. Constructed in GB. We're all on the same team. GB also came up with the funnies floating Sherman tanks, etc. Your contributions to the Normandy landings would not be possible without our British cousins. Winston Churchill requested the SEABEES to build the mulberry himself. Team effort is both very important. Cheers to us both. This is from a SEABEE.
Churchill requested yes but most if not all were built in British yards by Brits. What was built by Seabees was concrete floating bailey bridges connected with mulberry harbours. just the facts. But then why allow the truth to get into the way of a good propaganda lie? Hollywood both civian and the militarybtranch loved utter bullshite to keep the American public happy.
