Mystical & Mysterious! What, and Where, are Thin Places?

The very presence of Thin Places, also known as 'The Veil', is tantalizingly enticing to us.
Thin Places are a locations where we feel that our world, or realm, is at its closest to another realm. A place where our senses are affected, aroused or even overwhelmed by proximity to the Fairies, Spirits or mysterious beings which dwell there.
In this video we explore: What does a Thin Place feel like or look like? Is it a delicate curtain which can be raised and lowered? Can we pass through them to the other side and can we come back to tell the tale? Is there a price to be paid for meddling with a Thin Place?

In addition to thin places which may allow contact or interaction with the spirit world, there are also portals which are definite openings.

I have felt thin places... in clumps of trees in the city, where it all goes quiet and one must step carefully not to make noise and disturb the spirits there.

Are Thin Places ever dangerous?
In the early 1980s my best friend & I both worked evening shift at a hospital. The work was emotionally taxing, so to relax after work, we would drive down a heavily wooded back road that was about 30 miles long that connected to a small town near ours. Though we rode at night often on this road, we never encountered any other traffic, most people preferring to use the main highway so late at night. One particular night, we left in my car to ride & relax after getting off at 11pm. We had been laughing & talking, but about 5 miles down this road, I realized that we were both suddenly quiet. Feeling uneasy, I reached to lock my door just as I heard my friend locking her door. Immediately, I felt a fear that was so keen that the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up. I whispered to her," do you feel anything?" She answered as I slowed the car, "I've never been more afraid in my life"! I stopped in the road, but I was so overwhelmed with fear that I couldn't talk. I turned around in the road & we sped back to civilization. Even then the feeling of intense fear didn't let up. We went to my house, which was many miles away across a river from that road, & we slept that night huddled together on my couch, the fear never leaving us until the next morning. Later we discussed it & both felt that something was waiting for us down that road that night. Never again did either of us ever go down that road again.
