If you go outside the boundary, you'll have a long detailed distance before you reach the end of the collision and then just blurry textures. But there are a few places that the devs changed in the final version of the game.

Bro, he went due east of "new Orleans", not south. Believe it or not, but east of Louisiana* there are multiple states, including but not limited to, Mississippi, Alabama, and even Georgia!

It probably helps to have some of these areas complete when RDR3 development time starts. Kinda like how we had tiny parts of Lemoyne visible in RDR1.
