Bruce Dickinson must've been quaking in his booties when he heard Edguy. Closest approximation I have yet to hear in my 16 years of loving Maiden, and maybe even my 14 or so years of knowing about these guys.

Edguy had been an important part of my childhood, and I don't mind if it remains so. Now I'm much older and so is Tobias. When he was young he had a good voice. Now as he is older, he no longer has that golden voice. When he was younger he had an amazing skill of writing music. Now that he is older with the years of experience behind him he has an incredible skill for writing music. Let Edguy be a lovely memory from our childhood and let Tobias write something more mature, refined and sophisticated, which is Avantasia.
I think, the issue is the same like with Serj Tankian and System of a Down (who also had their prime in my teenage days). If you work together with 3-4 personalities over years, the writing of music and being creative starts with making compromises and attaching everyone’s wishes and needs. If you are caught between two successful groups and the most part of the work is hanging on you, don’t you ask yourself, if you still want to do this? Both singers, Serj Tankian and Tobias Sammet, have another thing in common: they considered their last studio efforts to be made under very heavy circumstances and did not knew, if they even wanted to make these albums. This was with Mezmerize/Hypnotize 📿🪬and so with Space Police - Defenders of the Crown 👮🏻♂️ 👑
When i listen stratovarius,,this band show,,i click and i like it,,omg i never know this band,,this band containt power metal and melodic song,,,my ear like it,,,my body contraction,,and my head cant stop moving,,,,😁
I used to love these guys... they were so amazing, their music excellent and Sammet´s voice really made me feel alive. I had the opportunity to see them alive several times; sing, scream, jump and cry while they played for us... what unforgettable times !!

Power Metal is the logical extension of 80s mainstream Metal and nobody embodies it better than Edguy!

For me Hellfire club is one of the best metal albums ever. A real 10/10.
