- A great sketchbook idea for beginners or anyone trying to get started sketching. I'm using Caran d'Ache Neocolor II water soluble wax pastels, and Stabilo Woodys to draw quick loose sketches from reference pictures. Sketch along with me as I complete 4 drawings of randomly selected pictures.
I had a lot of fun with this and I hope you enjoy watching the full process.

I'm a New Yorker living in England, so I mainly drink coffee...but I do enjoy tea in the evening, which only started after I moved here!

This came out great! I drink coffee in the morning and tea in the evening. I need to try this one! Always love your art! Especially when you laugh at mistakes instead of being frustrated. It reminds me to try to do the same. Nice work! 🐟

Wow!! I love your fearless approach and the way you integrate things on the page. The final result is quite beautiful, free and surprising. The best kind of art. Watching your videos really helps me recognize how my own approach has been too restrained and how I am overly invested in creating something "conventionally beautiful" rather than something super interesting. I live in New England and traditionally we are coffee lovers here but I like an Earl Gray tea first then a coffee mid morning. 👍

just a question, i also use the neocolor 2, but always the paint from one page goes later to the next, and everything looks terrible, greets from🇨🇭
I think they look the best on smooth paper. I also use a mixed media or thicker paper and the paint doesn’t go through. They will transfer to a page that touches it. I usually put something in between the pages, like parchment paper. I hope that helps. 😊👍
