- A major theme in the Bible is the battle between Christ and the Devil. We see this promised from the very beginning in Genesis 3. Because of the Fall, everyone is born as a child of the devil with his seed in them. And our only hope is the seed of the woman (Christ) bruising his head and setting us free.

I am not a Seventh Day Adventous by I so know that they preach and practice honoring the sabbath. They also practice not eating unclean meat. These people are an example of what Christians should be doing.

Genesis 3 explains life in pure wisdom. Once you understand the word is true...it helps you understand the fruit of the holy spirit...long suffering. This explains our truth and why we need God everyday. We need the truth and the help of the Holy spirit everyday!

However, once he sinned, Adam lost the covering of God as a result, the animals rebelled against him and were no longer obedient to him

The fig tree curse was finishing a conversation that started in the Garden of Eden: it served as a covering for Adam and Eve. We cover our sins and shame with different thing but we don’t need it since we have Jesus.

“For it was not the season of figs” however the tree bore leaves. Basically the tree lied promising fruit. That fig tree was supposed to bear fruit when it bore leaves. It’s creator approached and it did not offer succor. There’s really nothing odd about this story. The parable of the fig tree also teaches us this. The leaves are there so it’s time for the fruit. It’s leaves we’re out of season prompting the hope but it was a lie.
And Jesus Christ came to forgive all sins.
I think its important NOT to reduce this to a modern genetics, and consider a wider inheritance and bloodline issue, which do correlate with genetics, but include other, more spiritual things as well.

Great sermon. However, in Genesis 3:15, the original text should read the woman's seed CRUSHing, not bruising, the serpent's seed. Some translations still have this correct, but many have changed including what you read from.
This is a big verse and that word change obviously puts Jesus and Satan on equal playing fields, which is not correct. Crush means to utterly destroy, and bruise means.. to bruise.

Romans 16:20 has changed as well. Should be woman's seed crushing, not bruising serpent. I noticed you read this correctly from notes. But look in your Bible and see what it says now. Our Bibles are supernaturally changing. It is a huge, and one of many, end times signs, but most of the church is still sound asleep.
