So many rich nuggets of wisdom! I love Dr. Tam Wai Jia’s testimony and total trust in our Great God! Her life story encourages us all not only to trust and believe but to wait on God and be confidentially willing to obey his voice.
Thank you Brownlyn, Chris and Rachel for this moment with God’s faith-filled leader. ❤❤🙏🏽

I love this lady! I’ve always been on the margin. Even in my home, my marriage, my church.

This is so empowering to hear. It is so refreshing to hear someone put words to some of the experiences you can have, that when you are actually experiencing it, it's difficult to explain or put words to. Thank you 🧡

This was such an informative and enlightening conversation. I loved your honesty Cham about your first encounter with church and the hurdles you experienced throughout your faith walk and during seminary. Very encouraging! 😊❤

When she went into that church she was faced with apathy, religious apathy, people who go through the motions but unfortunately that's where their commitment stops. It reminds of the story of an old black Sam in the early days of the US who wanted to attend a predominantly white church. The pastor clearly couldn't refuse him but due to the atmosphere of the day neither could he find it within himself to welcome him in so kept putting him off....later...later would be the reply. Eventually the old black Sam had a word with the Lord about it & the Lord said, 'Don't you worry about it Sam, I've been trying to get into that church since the day it opened & haven't succeeded yet.'

LOVE THIS! It resonated with me as a 72 black woman on so many levels. Entering into zoom meetings where you are the only person of color is still amazing to me in 2024. However I tell colleagues that are also experiencing this to keep pushing forward.
