It's impressive how Mac already had contact with K. Lamar and Lil Wayne at such a young age. R.I.P. Mac.
It was always wild how many people loved Mac from the biggest artist to the underground. Everyone loved mac
Mac Miller & Kendrick Lamar are actually on the same 2011 XXL freshman cover , they were peers
His personality
Impressive how Mac had 10mm but couldn’t find legit drugs.
Kinda ironic since he was in mos dope.
More like mos dumb
@@Defrag227 lmfao yeah. Arenas full of Snowchimps cause of his personality.
Wayne will be remembered as the goat when he passes. Give the man his flowers whilst he’s still here
Yes
I was just going through lyrics of different songs. Yes there are MCs/OGs what have u that may have started different genres or different styles or waves. But in terms of lyrical capability and use of his own vocabulary not copying a thesaurus is actually something a computer probably couldn’t figure out. Just that alone forget about all his platinum records all his tours his records sold and other stats, just his rapping ability; he’s the greatest I’ve ever heard and I’m from NY and I grew up on Nas wu tang etc all those guys
@@yuriboyka6131 Wayne’s the all time goat in terms of wordplay and makes the shit look easy too 🐐
Honestly Mona Lisa -Lil Wayne ft Kendrick Lamar is the most underrated rap song imo. It did not get the publicity it should have.
It's average
@@theconsciousobserver6829 How is it in any way shape or form average? all verses are amazing.
@Mike J nothing average about that song, idk what you smokin
@Mike J
It’s average to those who don’t catch bars, such as yourself...
@Mike J
“Commercial brainwash.”
Translation: “I’m so better than you because listen to underground rappers.” That’s exactly what you sound like, a pompous fool!
Do you know who K Rino is? MF DOOM? Eyedea? Probably not, but go off... 🙄
Edit: I’ve listened to more Hip-Hop than you probably ever will in your life. You’re so close-minded, it’s funny and pathetic, honestly.
Lil Wayne isn't just an awesome artist, he is a super genuine dude.
🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
@@Jon--Jones for real
Eminem & Lil Wayne were the main reason why I started listening to rap music.
Half of the world outside US tbh
For me it was T.I
But I ended up listening to Wayne and Em most of my teenage life
All of us
same here
Same, along with Kanye & HOV
This videos makes me feel like Lil Wayne just passed away.... the man is still there to make music with.
lil wayne is the G.O.A.T .. When he leaves He will forever be a Legend ..lil wayne is my number 1 top 5
I hope he lives for 40 more years...this guy is good on his work!
That's why nobody gives a damn about your life or comment. Nameless
Like wise
He my number3 Tupac/ Jay z/ wayne
@@giftedindividual 2Pac trash asf
It’s crazy man, MFs used to make fun of me for listening to Wayne, Mfs really thought he was trash.... but Mfs do crack tho 😭
Bro same for me I used to get clowed because everyone like Eminem but now people realise he's the goat
@@Xzymandias same with Kanye
My best friend in college was like this and I never saw it until he dropped no ceilings 2 and I was hooked. Then I actually took the time to listen to the first and so on
Same with me and juice
I remember that too...but to be fair ...wayne was in the studio so much he did have couple songs where you can tell he was just high and f'ing around lol mostly singing......but wayne is the absolute goat imo....its not that he doing it for 20+ years but consistently on top of his game and got bars like he still trying to make it....all these new artist are his sons.
Idk why people hate on Wayne so much. That’s how you know you made it to the top when you are a nice person, but have haters who have no real reason to hate. Weezy #1 in my eyes.
Who hates on him?
What?
@@sassav6564 the new generation that don't listen to his music but for some reason think he's trash
A ton of ppl hate mainstream just bc its mainstream. These ppl really believe its cool to only like underground rap by artists nobody knows lol, old school, or anything from a dead artist. Its pretty pathetic that they feel the need to hate for no reason besides jealousy.
@@deucedeuce3708 perfectly said!! I couldn’t have said it any better.
“Wayne got a studio in a suitcase “ that was mad funny 😂
He was serious tho
He actually does though
Wayne is the Yoda of rap
His lighter must be his lightsaber
People hate on Wayne for no reason
True
They hate because they wish they was in his spot but don’t have the talent.
In the mid 2000's fans felt like he was a freak show cause of his style and how he rapped...but 07-2010 he had so many radio hits it was undeniable that he became a mega star
@@-Always_Right- radio songs don’t matter. He mumbles. Doesn’t have the lyrical craft to stack lines with rhetoric. Overrated
@@WyWid Lil Wayne was the one who took rap into a higher realm. I wouldn't say single-handedly, because he had Jay-Z, and Kanye right there with him.
Lil Wayne has been a Signed artist Since Michael Jordan was in the League and he never retired or took time off. He's been a hit maker for 30 yrs 🐐
And he's only 40-41
Wayne is definitely best top tier rappers in history
That stretch from C3 to C4 could be the greatest run in hip hop history. This dude was literally on EVERYONE'S song, absolutely KILLIN it. Back then, if you wanted an instant hit, you had to have him on it.
tbh i think youre lowballing it, C2 is when he exploded and started to hop on a lot of songs that became hits.
@@babydaddy229 yeah, you could be right. I just remember around the time C3 came out, he was dominating the charts for sure. It might've been C2 though.
It wasnt just features either. The man was putting out so many damn mixtapes and songs that were just thrown out there on Datpiff or Hotnewhiphop. It was so many damn Wayne songs out there that people never even heard that were so cold.
debatable against TCD to MBDTF Ye
@@goldwerewolf8651 nah. Not even a good comparison. Kanye didn't take over like Wayne did.
Here after Lil Wayne had his interview with Emmanuel Acho on mental health! Everyone please go watch it, we need more conversations like that especially in the black community 🙏🏽🔥
Wayne's wordplay is unparalleled. Periodt.
Wayne is just the Goat plain and simple
That’s Insane Drake been around Wayne soooo long, he was there for Make It Rain 😱😭😭
I love that this channel gives rappers their flowers while they’re here
I can't imagine where we would be in life without Weezy F Baby. 20 years from now we will still throw in Lil Wayne in rotation
I’m so glad I got to watch Wayne’s rise to the top, everyone wishes they could be younger but Wayne dominated in an era that was hard to be dominant in
Wayne never finished normal schooling and dropped out for his music but his rap, lyrics, word play and metaphors is undisputed. He was destined to be a rapper.
Wayne gotta psychology degree.
2000-2012 there was no one else but Wayne.
Eminem had 2000-04, 50 cent had 2005. T.i has 2006 & 07-12 was wanye's years
Lil wayne was the official change in hiphop where NY wasn't lyrically on top anymore.
Rap is Wayne en Wayne is Rap...they really really need each other... Greatest of all time ever seen en heard in history
Thank you Weezy!!! From the bottom of my heart. I don't know how many times in the past you have put a smile on my face and maid me laugh with your little punchlines you put in your bars. You make it look easy when clearly it's hard! Where ever you are............HAPPY NEW YEAR bruva!
Wayne deserves it all man he’s been in the game since a kid and had made such a legendary impact on the rap game. Whether people wanna admit it or not.
Wayne is top 5, idc what anyone say

Wayne my favorite rapper of all time. Paved the way for all these youngins and they don’t even know it. Shit, even their names are inspired by his.. 2007-2012 were straight hits after hits. Brings my back to high school days smoking Ls with my bros and blastin Wayne and Drizzy. Good ol’ days
Kendrick always sounds humble pun intended.
Two words. Mona Lisa.
Go count your polo socks
Wayne is still killing shit no ceilings 3 is insane how scary is it that Wayne is still getting better and better
lil wayne means rap, rap means lil wayne, the goat!
I feel like I’m one of the very few people who love Mona Lisa like I do. Cool to see Em’s perspective on it. Seriously IMO the greatest song Wayne ever put out. Kendrick’s part was incredible too.
Wayne spits straight from tha dome

The 🐐 with no doubt
Old school and new school loves Lil Wayne

Em sounded like he was about to cry lol
Very very amazing artist he is 🐐 💪🌺✌️
Big Sean we have to see who the ultimate lil wayne fan
RIP Mac man.
Jay z is like Jordan..2pac is like Kobe..and lil Wayne is like lebron ... arguably the g.o.a.t but not in everyone's eyes but has the potential to be the all time goat and is still at it by time he's done his accomplishments will be to hard to argue with
Don't ever compare Jay-z to Jordan again kid 😅
Think it makes the most sense that 2pac is Jordan. 2pac is easily the most iconic and probably well known rapper ever lol
no. Jay Z is not like Jordan.
Jordan is clearly the best basketball player.
and
Wayne is clearly the best rapper
"We don't debate..."

Wayne was insanely popular. But the biggest rapper ever is Eminem, no one will ever reach that level of popularity.
That's toxic my G

Eminem is not the most popular rapper...Some people have never heard about him in my country

wayne the rap version of lebron🤷🏽♂️
Cute to see rap catching up to rock/metal 🤪 all respect though hip hop at an all time high.
Lets be real there has been times were wayne didnt try in some of his songs, but goddamn when he does his lyrics are gold.
