    Can't tell you how thrilled I was when I got the notice for this. I have been waiting for you to see Sawyer Brown. They never really got the credit they deserved. This song is so funny but to hear a more series side I suggest "The Walk" (makes me cry every time) and "All These Years" which is another that really hits in the feels.
    For a minute there I thought Keith might have been seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. That looked and sounded painful.

    Best reaction to a song EVER!! My favorite band ever! I have never missed a Sawyer Brown Concert, they are the same way during thier concerts as they are in thier videos. They were kinda country/rockabilly See Out goin' Cattin' but they've kinda found religion and don't tour much anymore but thier song Mission Temple Fire Works Stand still rocks, Pentecostal Style.
    I will keep the Carmel housewife jokes to myself.
    As for the Bourbon...don't die on Camera, they will turn it into an NCSI episode "Death by Bourbon" lol I like watching y'all for several reasons...1 You never fail to make me laugh even when I'm not suppossed too. 2 I'm a country fan as well as metal ( I'm almost 50) we listened to everything when I was groing up from Bluegrass to Gwar.
    3. I've found some bourbons I actually like, without y'all Iwould have never heard of them. And last but not least if I need a gift for someone who I don't really care for but social nicey nice has to be played, I learn from y'all what to give them as a gift and what not too. hehehehe!

    I never grew up listening to nor paying any attention to country music but sometimes it’s all about timing. I found country when the time was right for me. I’m 50 now and got into country in 1993 when I was 21. I was driving a company truck and didn't bother changing the radio station from whoever drove it last. I was just in the frame of mind to get lost in a song and the right one came on (All These Years by Sawyer Brown) and it stayed in my ears, my mind, and in my heart for days afterward until I had to buy the CD. That’s how it started for me. I love how country songs paint vivid pictures and that each one is its own story. Mark Miller's vocals is one thing that really sets Sawyer Brown apart from other country artists who hit it big in the 90s. My favorite songs by Sawyer Brown are All These Years, The Walk, Some Girls Do, Cafe on the Corner, Trouble On the Line, This Time, I Don’t Believe In Goodbye, and This Night Won't Last Forever.

  • @Budini67
    @Budini67 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Keith... I totally lost it at 6:20 at the simple words and the big pause of 'Do not inhale'.... I literally fell out! LOVED seeing you two react to Sawyer Brown. As others have said, their songs 'All these years' and 'The walk' are OUTSTANDING. Another popular group around that same time was called Shenandoah and they had a great and similar song called "If Bubba can dance, I can too." It's upbeat, a very funny and likeable video.

    I was seven when this one first came out in the Spring of 1992, and I always loved it whenever the video came on CMT back then. My step dad got me their Dirt Road album, which included this song, at K-Mart a little while after that. :) Before that, my favorite from them was their cover of George Jones' "The Race Is On," in which he video taped me singing at the top of my lungs when i was only five, lol. I agree with others here that y'all must listen to "All These Years," especially. "Cafe On The Corner" is another one you should check out, as well, along with "The Walk." I personally think their 90's music is their most raw/organic stuff, while much of their 80's stuff was more slick and poppy. "Some Girls Do" is definitely one of their lighter, more radio friendly cuts, but still pretty good, imo.

    The song was just released and I found them through Spotify. 😄

    Mission Temple Fireworks Stand is another upbeat Sawyer Brown song. They also did a cover of '6 days on the road' a George Jones song(arguably better)

    • @garygoodman4342
      @garygoodman4342 ปีที่แล้ว

      Six Days on the Road was originally cut by Paul Davis in 1961. Dave Dudley did it in 1963, took it to #2, and is the most famous version (neck and neck with Sawyer Brown) George did a version in 1966 but was not released as a single.

    First I laughed after Keith said that he had heard Sawyer Brown, then retracted it with Jackson Browne. Not sure how he could have confused the names, being a music person. LOL
    He must have been off his game, because then he inhaled the bourbon.

    Hey, what's wrong with white trash? We need lovin too. I'm a Virginia boy but I was a Indiana transplant for a while. I was in Bunker Hill between Kokomo and Peru. I used to work at the Tyson plant in Logansport. Ya'll Indiandianians are awesome. Wasn't expecting the tornado stuff. Eight touchet down in Kokomo my first week there while I was job hunting. The Starbucks next to the McDonalds where I ate lunch got blown over an hour after I left.
