Meet three Patagonia field-testers in Leavenworth, Washington who will spare no suffering in pursuit of the very best gear. Not all scientists wear lab coats. New products may begin on the design table, but they come to life on the backs (and legs and heads) of field-testers like Jenny Abegg, Andy Wyatt, and Chuck Wyatt. These dedicated athletes have spent their lives pushing their own limits and the boundaries of sport-and also happen to be absolute nerds for gear. They will spare neither suffering nor embarrassment in pursuit of equipment that meets their standards.
