Chukotkan summers are very hard to navigate because the ground becomes like a swamp essentially. Because there are few to no roads in the okrug, it is difficult to traverse by land during the summer. Many places in the Russian Far East use helicopters, planes, and boats to travel. In the winter, frozen rivers can be traveled across safely with virtually no thin ice and packed snow is much more stable and rigid to drive across than lowland tundra swamp.
That took some major balls to pull that off. There's isn't exactly an Autozone nearby. Or a hospital. Or rescue helicopter. You might as well be in the Lunar Highlands if something major goes wrong. But that's what makes doing that fun.
Oh I love Iultin! Is it too much difficult to arrive there in winter? I'm interested in going there! Another fact is that I'm from Spain and I live too much far away and I'm used to live in "hot" climates and you know 😂😂💪🏻 Wait wait wait wait.... were you driving through the sea? 😂
There are regular flights to Moscow VKO, they cost 630 euros round-trip. There are direct low-cost flights to VKO from Girona, they cost like a 100 euros round-trip.
The Final countdown they are building a road to Magadan, so soon mate, soon (there is a road leaving from magadan, connects to Yakutsk, and from there you can drive to the rest of Russia, Asia , and Europe and Africa
i mean there have always been road, they just have no support fron the government and you need really expensive offroad vechicles to drive through all that
Would've liked some details about where you were. Looks like mostly roads and civilisation or what passes for it in the Russian far east. Great vid though. Bloody cold.
I assume you'd want to get a 4×4 off-roader with some great fuel efficiency, preferably a few in a convoy so you can get one unstuck if needed like in the video. Wouldn't hurt to have some other stuff like shelf stable food, snow shovels, GPS, spare car parts, and the like.
because none of the ice roads would've been there and the risks of encountering bears and would've also been a lot higher (they're sleep through the winter) - in the summer that entire area turns into a giant bog

That region is pretty much all permafrost region in Northeastern Russia Far East.
Great Video. That was some Expedition. I always enjoy watching it.
My home town ☺️🧡
Does it get any tourists?

Haha love the music choice!! Awesome video!
Просто молодцы!
Where did you refuel?
Moby - South Side.
You definitely need a experienced local guide for this expedition lol
Is that going from Russia to Alaska?
Меньше поломок вам и большой стойкости, мужчины!
i like Chuchotka
My Navi says, that you can’t reach Anadyr’
The roads going around Chukotka are too small and difficult to drive through for the gps to notice.
Ok
3:59 - has it iPhone connection there ? o_O It's strange
IIRC GPS works without carrier signal.
@@halvarandersen8279 You're right.
How wide are those rims and what offset?
很棒的路线很棒的车队
Провидения следующий?
They could probably drive to Alaska in the winter if they wanted to
Congratulations

@@ziroskzirosk4303 I wish... I did some research a while back about the area
awesome!!
俄罗斯楚科奇地区和美国阿拉斯加地区以后随着气温升高会越来越适合人类居住。亚洲和北美大陆的通道打开以后建设港口和桥梁。
Cool
