I live in Northern Ireland and have relatives in Tennessee. We went to opryland many years ago and this ride always stuck in my head. I’m 43 now and still remember this coaster . Brilliant
Chaos was my favorite non-water ride at Opryland. I still want to cry when I'm in Nashville on one of the interstates and the signs for Opryland are still there as if the park was still open. I can still hear the sound of the countdown of the clocks.
Imagine growing up here and getting it ripped away. Part of my childhood was ripped away too! Now there's a monstrosity of a mall, that was devastated by flooding. Guess what happened then? The mall was refurbished. Truly sad, I'll be gone one of these days. Then Opryland will only be pictures of the past.
If you loved chaos allot you guys should go to Bobbejaanland in Belgium, there is a rollercoaster called revolution and he looks exactly like him only the theme was/is different, revolution goes about time traveling so yeah and chaos wasn't about time traveling if I'm right, just a lil fact chaos and revolution were kind of twins they both were from 1989, type of rollercoaster and train are the exact same even soundtrack so if you loved chaos you really should go to Bobbejaanland one day! Revolution is one of the most iconic Rollorcoaster from Bobbejaanland and ofc my fav rollercoaster;) so if ur interested in revolution than maybe try him!
If it was your fav ride than you should go to Bobbejaanland one day there is a rollercoaster called revolution and he looks exactly like him revolution still exist and is still active he is also from 1989 and is now 33 years old, chaos and revolution were kind of twins just only lil difference was their theme revolution goes about time traveling, but it's a really nice ride, you should really try revolution if your a chaos lover, revolution is in Bobbejaanland located in Belgium ;) maybe you can search on TH-cam "revolution Bobbejaanland" there you see many onrides about him!
This roller coaster defines my childhood in a way and you've resurrected a ton of great memories for me. What you've done is very appreciated. Thank you!
"Please move quickly through the station, your time is running out." "Access to level two control has been terminated." "Each car accommodates two riders." Halloween spiel: "Welcome to Chaos Chemicals, we are the future." "Code yellow, code yellow, access to level two has been terminated." "Code red, code red, Reactor shut down has been activated." I supervised the area with this ride for two seasons.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? WE WOULD DRIVE TO NASH JUST TO RIDE THIS THING!! IT WAS WAAT AHEAD OF IT'S TIME!!!! yeah i'm having a moment. Thanks for posting this!1 Feels like I'm 14 all over again!!
Every time I went to Opryland as a kid, I would make a beeline for this coaster. It's sad that nobody wanted to purchase the ride after the park closed. Other than it's twin in Belgium, there will never be another coaster like it.
Having worked on Chaos for 3 years, you've done a phenomenal job recreating it, although I noticed that you only had the upper projection screen and not the lower one. Also like how you got the music and projection sequence. Too bad you didn't get or couldn't get the sound effects and the lady in the waiting area, "Please move quickly through the station, you're time is running out." She said something else, but I can't remember what it was.
Thank you for the positive reaction of my creation. Normaly the sound you can find back on this history website -> web.archive.org/web/20010105103700/www.access2control.com/sounds.htm
I'd like to see a real onride video of CHAOS... I heard the queue was themed after a boiler room, with ticking clocks and stuff? That must've been awesome.
Great recreation. Did you design this from Memory? I agree with @Daakusutepsu1 The recording of "Please move quickly through the station your time is running out" was a big part of the ride as the wait to get on the ride was very long. I also remember going through a section with lots of clocks and clock sound effects. Time was a major theme with this ride. Once inside the ride I remember a video of a pendulum being projected on the upper screen. The pendulum would swing and appear to break and fall from the upper clock and hit the lower clock and shatter the lower clock and then the ride would speed up. Thank you so much for bringing back such great memories.
Dear Olis Stanton. I designed this because I'm a big fan of the Revolution at Bobbejaanland (Belgium) I live in Belgium. Chaos in Opryland is an identical copy of this ride. I'm never been in the Chaos so I had only pictures to make it and with my own fantasy. Thank you you enjoyed this video! I'm glad i have such big compliments of this video and bring you all the memories back! With friendly regards TheRevolutionFreak93
As far as I know they removed BOTH movies on Chaos. For a year it ran completely in the dark without any light effects and then they added the reactor thing. but the movie was gone.
Chaos lovers: i wish he came back Me: guys there is a Rollorcoaster called revolution that looks exactly like him only their theme was/is different, yes revolution is still active and is also from 1989, chaos had the longest rollercoaster train well now it's revolution he can carry 60 people, if your a chaos lover you would also love revolution, revolution is in Bobbejaanland located in Belgium, So i should say give Revo a chance! ;)
The user: therevolutionfreak Me being:, revolution obsessed :D But you can also call me a freak cuz I'm trying getting everything from Revo every lil merch you can make about ;)

@ALF Raydough It has truly become awful.

I remember Chaos well. It was one of my favorite rides at Opryland. I miss that park...last time I went was 1992, with my 5th grade class.

For some reason, this ride always scared me.

Daakusutepsu1 I believe she said something about 2 to a car

I found a video, but it was too dark to see anything other than the movie at the top of the building!
In 1989, Chaos had the second place ever to sell Dippin Dots. First place was in Indiana, I think.
It was over by the Grizz,.. cant forget the huge projection screens...awesome ride...~

Wich place stands the green dragon? Before it makes the last big circle?
Could please post a link to download the scenery stuff, like the building?
Sorry but the objects are not available to download.
The objects are custom made by myself. It took a lot of work to get this result.
Prachtig!! Kun je me zeggen hoe je met sketchup8 zelf zo'n echtbestaand gebouw namaakt voor RCT3? Please help!
