A lot of smaller fire departments with budgets to match could have found great value in that truck at one time. Really sad to see it just rotting away.

Yea I don’t get the whole let’s break the glass out of everything? Or vandalism?i guess it’s an urban thing I grew up in/near the country but went in old houses and buildings we should not have been in but never destroyed everything we see.
Yup. I grew up in rural northern NY, dairy farm country. Abandoned farmhouses and barns everywhere. When we were kids we'd explore them all the time and find interesting things. Old books, sometimes with old photos in them that someone stashed there. Old farm tools etc. In urban areas you will just find trash, graffiti and drug paraphernalia unfortunately.
The military truck are Canadian. They are called MLVW (Medium Load Vehicle Wheeled) First one is a tractor or Semi Tractor, second one has a dental, medical or administrative box. I'd have to see the interior of the box attachment to know which though. I used those in the Canadian Airforce with the comms module on them.

Quints are unique by design. This one may have no longer met NFPA standards so was taken out of service. Separate ladder trucks and engines are more practical.

I don't understand the concept of destroying the windows or the graffiti in these abandoned buildings!
Why must people vandalize things that really pisses me they can't just take pictures and admire things the way they are
*Usually teenagers*
Yes and what gives them that right to vandalize other people stuff even if those people are dead, or abandoned for that matter.
Anything for a cheap thrill , let's smash the windows, FFS leave it how it is.

that fire truck is the exact same as all the engines my local fire department uses. weird to see one sitting abandoned.
It probably isn’t the same but maybe the same brand and type because that looked like a Lance squirt

The "Quin 3" on the fire truck means it's both a pumper truck & a ladder truck, it served multiple rolls.
Hi Richard, thank you for the info!
To be more precise it is a Quint which means it meets 5 Nfpa requirements for ground ladders, hoses, water pump, tank, and aerial ladder
Quint
That truck is an ex Danbury Quint 3 I believe.
Swear if i had the space, I'd take all of these trucks and completely restore them.
That was where EB paving shop was before them moved. Norwich CT
That Mohegan sun in the back lol
M52A2 Semi Tractor. Just like the one I drove in the US Army.
So many would love those old vehicles for reenactments etc
Technically if the place is abandoned ain't those vehicles up for grabs ?
