- Today is all about shopping! We are on the hunt for traditional Pakistani clothes: Shalwar Kameez. We wanted to hit up a local market, but it was just too hot. Instead, we decided to embrace the air conditioning and head to the luxurious Centarus Mall! We begin the day at Cinnabon. Then, we head to three different stores in order to outfit all five of us in beautiful Pakistani shalwar kameez clothing. After clothes shopping, we head to the food court for lunch. It’s there we let the kids decide what to do next. You guessed it: Fun City. We spent hours at the Fun City Arcade. Before wrapping up our day at the mall, Cedar and I got henna tattoos. It was a fun-filled day, and I think the kids were thoroughly worn out by the end of it. If you visit Islamabad, be sure to visit this mall for shopping, entertainment, fast food, a movie, and air conditioning.

We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language.
