What I Love about Mcfarlane figures is it seems every release improves from the last. I like how he sees what wotks and what doesn't, and either adds or removes whatever he needs to make the figure great.
This is by far my favorite Batman figure, so much detail and so accurate to the game (which is also my favorite game of all time ) I got mine yesterday after searching so many months for it . The only problem I am facing with the figure is that he can't hold his gadgets. The don't fit at all in his hands. Any tips ?
Watch my segment on the gadgets, I talk about how he can't hold them properly, but you can fudge it. If you're worried, take some boiling water, dip his hand in there, and you can gently stretch it open and put the accessory in.
They really nailed this, except for the cape being inaccurate, still this is like a mini neca 1/4 scale fig totally beats the dc collectibles/ play arts kai。
He looks like he scales with the DC Collectibles Robin very well. I was worried about that. But, I think it looks more accurate with these two, rather than with both DC Collectibles figures. Thanks for showing this!
Yeah I hope his skin color is not gray, I have not read the source material but I don’t think he looked like that in the book, I think what we saw was a prototype that will look different, I hope I’m not wrong.
Unfortunately, it’s for the smaller 3.75 inch scale figures, but it is awesome and amazing, it has regular mode and battle mode and sounds and the whole 9 yards
If I may ask what batmobile is that also can this Batman fit in the batmobile or no also how hard would it be to take off that cape and put a cloth cape on?
It’s the Mattel multiverse Arkham Knight Batmobile for 3.75 inch figures, far too small for him unfortunately. Taking off his plastic cape would be fairly easy, and depending on your skill set replacing it with a cloth cape wouldn’t be that hard either, there are tons of people selling cloth capes on eBay
About 3 minutes on hit water, best way is to adjust parts and run cold water while holding the stuff the way you want it. I simply put on hot water and it corrected itself, then I let it cool down on its own.
At 14:52 When you compared it to DC Direct/Collectables, was the gray/blue figure on the far right a custom? Never seen before and it looks super cool.
I just take a microwave safe cup and microwave water for about three minutes until it is boiling, then I put the figure in there for about three minutes and push any warped parts the way I want and hold them there as he cools off
@@dHuntersReviews thanks it actually fixed itself pretty quickly. You just gained a subscriber and im referring your channel to my collector community keep up great work
To be fair, the figures have always had ankle rockers/pivots without using the ball joint. I just grabbed my Detective Comics 1000 Batman and my Nightwing figures and their ankles rock/pivot without moving the ball joint. I wonder if yours are just stuck and need a little heat to get them moving ....
Yea,h, they sort of had it before, but it was a serious pain to rotate that ball. Some of the newer figures have ankle tilts in addition to the ball so you don’t have to rotate them.
I’d say better except the DC Collectibles one has better thigh swivel and an ab crunch Still think the McFarlane’s has overall better article. Both have a ton.
I’m a little upset with this figure because on mine, the right foot came detached and even though it went back on with some heat, that is annoying, and his left eye is a little to the side
Hi Dhunter, how did you go about straightening his legs and ears? I got this figure today and I have the same issue. Did you just hold the legs in there? I’ve never had to do something like this before. Did you hold him from the torso and just have the legs in the water and they moved into place or did you have to hold the legs while they were in the water?
I used a microwave safe cup to heat up some water to boiling. Then I put his head in there for about a minute or so, then turned him over, pretty much put his entire legs in there for about 3 minutes and bam, back to normal.
@@dHuntersReviews thank you so much! I’ll get onto that ASAP. My Deathstroke also seems to have one of his legs loose at the hip joint due to how he was displayed in the packaging :(

Great review. I'm thinking about getting it. the price is excellent at $19. I have the DC Direct clean version. Its arm broke off and I had to repair it using a metal pin. Actually I had two. I returned one for the same reason as the arm broke off as I removed it from the package. DC Direct used very brittle plastic. I really like the muddy looking Batman😂
I had no breakage issues on any of those Arkham Knight Batman figures. I guess I was lucky. The quality control seemed better than Arkham City/Asylum days, that's for sure.
Dhunter, looking at your custom Harley Quinn thugs and other wrestling henchman... I wonder if we did business over eBay several years ago? Yeah, hopefully these are selling insane, and they will keep pumping our Arkham characters. I LOVE that they mix well with the DC DIrect Arkham collection.
I almost passed on this figure but so glad I'm a batman addict and ordered one anyway. Wish I would've gotten two. Imo it's the best overall execution on a McFarlane batman figure since the white knight figure(I'm being completely objective with that, I know the look isn't for everyone). Common issue is the warping from how they're posed in the packaging in case anyone is reading this. Don't let that affect your decision to pick this up. Some of the other new figures McFarlane has been putting out are being posed in packaging as well which warps them. Throw it in some hot water for a minute take it out and everything should bounce back to its correct shape. Also for the articulation is everything people, McFarlane figures will out pose any marvel legends type figures with very minimal effort. It's easy to add thigh cuts/swivels and if you use a fresh razor and cut at the right spot it won't even break up the sculpt in extreme poses. The ab crunch on all his figures are beyond amazing, all you have to do is pop the ab piece off the crotch piece, and Dremel a small line no thicker than the shaft of the ball peg from the hole outward on the front and back. Some will tell you to do the same on the top of the ab piece to add more movement to the upper body but it's useless on majority of the releases, once you do a few you'll be able to know which would actually benefit. If anyone is thinking why should I have to do anything!?! I would agree with that if the figures weren't 19.99-24.99(baf releases) for this level of quality. As a collector I'm so tired of other collectors giving low ratings on top notch figures (in this price range) because they don't have several sets of hands, alternate heads, more than 1 or 2 weapons, etc. have some perspective. Then I'll see the same person gush their pants over a 100 dollar just barely 6" fragile figure with minimal paint and a poorly executed wired cape like they got some sort of bargain. Sorry about the rant, even though I doubt anyone is actually reading any of this. Anyway, another stellar review (one of the main reasons I come here for reviews, especially anything batman/dc related plus I can see you're a real fan and collector and since that can't help but affect how things are judged, it makes it more of a reliable resource for me than someone that's just objectively reviewing random figures of characters they don't really care or know about) thanks again dude.

@@dHuntersReviews I ordered him and Deathstroke on Amazon the first day that they were available. They should be arriving for me November 3rd.
I did too, got em off GameStop for $80 shipped during some sale. 2 of each, so same price.
@@dHuntersReviews awesome man! Just gave you a sub and a follow on Instagram! @harveydentda is me! Keep up the good work.
I think that the DC Collectibles/direct has better articulation and paint. I do like the McFarlane head better though
They are both fantastic. The DC Collectibles’ head is way too small.
I’m keeping this in box
That’s why I got 2 lol
Love the figure hope they rereleased the figure so I can get 15
Let’s try for 100!
@@dHuntersReviews I probably get a hot toys Arkham knight Batman
I bought that Batman toy today at Walmart and it was the last one
Nice, he’s a beast.
@@dHuntersReviews Yeah thanks yes he is
Hey dhunter would you be interested in selling your McFarlane dc stands?
Possibly
What are you needing them for
@@dHuntersReviews they work awesome for my gi joes
Cómo desearía tener uno asi, buen video :)
Gracias
The biggest downside of this is the abs are black/dark grey vs silver. Otherwise it would have been perfect
Agreed, minor, but noticeable mistake.
I want mcfarlane more dc action figures
Here wish
Ted kord/blue beetle
Red robin (pre 52)
Aquaman 52
Batmobile
Superboy
Kid flash
Which action figure you see get made
I’d want a rebirth Red Robin before the pre new 52 one although he’s nice too
I just bought this figure yesterday. Been watching your review a few weeks ago It's your fault! Joke mah man! Hahaha. Thank you.
Lol
How much did you have to pay for it?
@@dHuntersReviews it's hard to find even in the Philippines. in your dollar rate it costs $58
Ouch
But he’s a good figure!
@@dHuntersReviews yeah, it's like a God tier of Mcfarlane Batman. I just can't sleep watching this video and not having it. Lol
I can’t wait to put Arkham Knight him!
Excelente
Thx
Awesome ,
Yes sir.
sieht sehr gut aus
You got it! Aaaaawwww boy!
I don’t think I fully understand the question? I have transitions, mostly spam fade and use fold.
Which John wick video? Did this video seem rough? It had some transitions
Didn’t I do that here?
15:17
?
@@dHuntersReviews it's a timestamp for myself , I had a really hard time finding a comparison between this and the batman mafex hush so thank you bro
You’re welcome
He’s way bigger
Does anyone else find it difficult to stand up? or am I the only one who got that detail haha
Only slightly difficult
It is that my figure has a small detail on the legs, it is only a little bigger than the other. It is difficult to lay still
Great video, excellent quality but bro you sound sooooo bored and if not even annoyed doing this. It felt painful to watch because it made me feel like you were tortured talking about it.
Just how I speak I try to be clear and slow so people can understand me
@@dHuntersReviews That's true, I realized after how effective that was. Excellent video, you killed it with the comparisons and scene demonstrations! Now that's something I've seen no one else do so very impressive!
Thanks
I am open to feedback on how I talk
Fake enthusiasm is usually bad
I enjoy doing my videos but I want to be slow and clear
@@dHuntersReviews I’ve been subscribed for a little while now and at this point I can tell when you’re actually excited about a figure, even through the monotone lol. But don’t expect the criticisms about your tone of voice to calm down anytime soon. The more popular you get, the higher expectations will be that you meet everyone’s standards. It’s up to you ultimately how you want to deal with that though. I’ll keep watching either way. Great review!
Thanks
Those arms look way too long. They really ruin the figure for me.
They look pretty good to me.
Hello! Like150
😃./
150 what?
@@dHuntersReviews 👍
It's nice. Too bad I don't collect anything over 6.5 inches tall.
I prefer 7 inch scale
I mix 6.5 & 7
*high five*
I collect both, I could not get into Star Wars black as they are smaller than every 6 inch line I collect
I like Star Wars, but I’d want to army build everything
Better to stay away
They are damn near 5 inch scale though
I like them, but don’t love them. It is very impressive how big it’s gotten, how many minor characters snd army builders they’ve done. Wish they’d dig that deep into DC.
your cadence is really off-putting. You should work on that.
Easier said than done
Just how I talk
Fake enthusiasm would probably sound worse
Nice flex but ok
Gotta flex on these boys
