This is insane. You have done the exact same thing I’ve done with that leveraged MSTY ETF. I’ve pretty much seen enough at this point. I’m 1000% convinced on investing in MSTY at this point now. My entire M1 Finance portfolio now consist of nothing but MSTY with $100k invested. That ETF is a long term hold for me. Plan on it being a multi million dollar portfolio very soon with what MSTY is doing 👍
I'm up 31% with MSTY, never mind the monthly divs, which I'm receiving an $8400 payout this week, got $7800 last month. I almost put 50k back into MSTY when it was just at $19 and I got cold feet, what a f'n regret now, ouch.
Do you know what your tax bill is going to be yet? I have a thousand shares of MSTY and I've gotten 4k the last couple months. I figure I'm going to get a pretty big income tax bill.
The distribution rate is simply how much of the ETF's current value would be paid out if every distribution for a year was the same as the latest distribution. So, for MSTY's latest distribution of $4.4213, we take that and multiply by 12 months, which is $53.0556. Divide that by MSTY's market value ($39.08 as of this comment) and you get 1.3576, or 135.76%.

Very good episode ! I’ll have a look closer to MSTR because I been staying away from direct Bitcoin’s investments for now. I may take a small position next year

@@martingosselin6698 are you saying it will invalidate your tfsa if you invest in american stocks and re invest or take the div and it will be counted as income? even if i have a usd account with wealthsimple?
