Definitely my favorite EDF. It will stand on its nose in a hover and climb out like nothing. I mostly fly it with a real aft CG a 3500mah and AS3X+. It does incredible flat spins and inverted high alpha is even easier than right side up. Such an incredible EDF jet. If you don't have it in your fleet. WTF you waiting for? I bought 3 in the fear that it will ever get discontinued. Yes, it's that good that I bought 3 cause I would cry If it got discontinued and I didn't have a spare or two. Trust me it will be your number 1 EDF "Every Day Flyer" lol
I run a 5000mah and it's still insanely fast and will climb straight up from a high alpha! I have literally done a whole flight doing figure eights in high alpha around the field!
I really wish they'd finally fix that sprung nose gear door (Nothing but problems) and replace it with a sprung plastic linkage like they've been doing recently.
I have the old version and it is also a beast, had some gear issues on grass runway but other than that its been a good plane. Even if you are a good pilot this plane will challenge you!
I changed the front gear to the F16 gear and it has 30+ flights on rough grass OP's. It's a simple swap with very little foam cutting. NY favorite EDF or "Every Day Flyer."
@@MotionRChaha, that's not what I meant. 😂 I mean I'm buying all these cool planes and have no money for food, hence the diet. So when someone says "I'm on a RC diet", it means they spend most of their money on RCs and only have enought left over for like 3 almonds a day or something. 😂
That is amazing. I would love to get an airspeed sensor in that to find out how fast you were going, cause that thing has some speed. And I thought you were going to show that it was a combustion engine, not an electric one. That’s really cool.

looking at the specs. is it really slightly smaller than the freewing f17 70mm?
Yep, its a smaller 80mm which gives it more power and better ability for high alpha
