The entire game feels that way, that's why it's so great. Payday 2, while a great game, unfortunately lost some of this charm. PDTH is honestly one of my top 3 games I have ever played, but Payday 2 is definitely in my top 10.

There's still a lot they could do better but since the former CEO, fuckface Bo himself (who also essentially killed off the character, Wolf because he's an asshole. I believe he also put this abhorrent monetization through in the first place, but this could just be devs shifting the blame. I believe them, honestly) almost killed the company, so I don't see anything changing. I would have agreed with you a couple of years ago, but I think now by the time that PD2 is basically all "done" I think they did pretty well. The Ultimate edition with all the dlc was an excellent addition, and was much needed, but yeah, the path that led them there wasn't pretty.

Home invasion: Drab, dreary, operation to raid a counterfeiting operation. Home invasion 2016: Sunshine and murder. The faster pace music just fits the more colorful atmosphere of the level there.
